Hello there...
my assistant and I are spending countless hours researching all the wholesale suppliers listed here. Well, our findings tell us that the small guys trying to resell on Ebay are 'NOT MAKING' a 'REAL' profit using these suppliers. It looks as if only those with large capital investments, buying in serious bulk are turning a profit! We would like to hear others opinions here. Let's be honest ok? No jokers wasting there time and money need to reply! Thanks for your time, GC & MC

I make a real profit on ebay selling dvds... I wrote an ebook that describes my system. In the ebook I include everything from where to get the dvds and how to sell them for profit.

(The ebook is not a junk list full of crappy wholesalers, it my proven system)

If you are not selling ebooks on how to profit on ebay, I don't think you can make a profit. I don't know where they get their items, selling prices are well below wholesale. I am not going to buy 1000 of one item and then be unable to sell it.
What about the other auction sites like ubid?

Do you suppose that the million+ people who sell on eBay full time for a living might disagree with you?

I started out with the same viewpoint, but after about 6 months of trial and error and a lot of money lost I am now making money. I sell Ipods-electronics, and it took me a long time to find a decent supplier and learn the ins and outs. Keep trying it takes time.

I have to agree. I am currently selling on ebay full time for myself and the SH group. I work 17-20 hours a day. And were looking at not having a problem keeping Platinum Powerseller Status. Its grueling work. But the profit margins are pretty high to resist.

I started by selling childrens clothes and Dvd movies.
Now with a boost from the SH group we are located in a warehouse stocked full of products. And generating thousands weekly.

Dont give up :!:

Selling on eBay DOES work. Its all about finding the particular niche that suits you.

Its no good going for mass market items because thats were everyone goes, try and find niche items for wholesale prices that you would get for yourself. This way you have knowledge about the product and know a good price when you see it.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

To this business you need two things, always.

A credit card, and an automated marketing system.

A 'niche' is the only place you are going to consistently generate high profit on either eBay or uBid so go find that.

Its not the websites.

Its the products.

LOCATE the 'PRODUCTS' and line them with keywords, make sure its checked & won't get anyone in trouble either. Then sell it consistently, but swarm the traffic to you.

By consistent I mean, you throw out one & break even maybe a loss maybe not. Then, make certain your feedback increases. Then restock that product consistently, throw it out again and for as many times as you want. Generate profit.

Then go into the other niche, and FLOOD the traffic over to there. Then FLOOD the traffic until you've doubled the system on top of itself (Does this sound complex? Its not- you can funnel TRAFFIC to overlap itself until it just starts automatically coming by the thousands) and sell the products. Over and over.

CONSISTENCY is key. Use a credit card. Pay your 'payments' off later & gradually, let the system work itself until soon you won't really do much at all. You might just leave it on automatic with 10 products & the right marketing, 5 days later every one of them are sold out. And on your store you've sold another.

MOVING PEOPLE TO YOUR STORE=Key to the victory.

It was mentioned earlier. However, I'll restate it in a different manner. It can be done and I'm doing it - making good profit. The bottom line is Find Your Niche product(s), Market it well, capture your client's contact info (first name, email) and keep reselling to them. The TRAFFIC is there on eBay! That's the key. Corporations are paying $Millions$ of dollars for those kinds of eyes to look at their products. And eBay charges about a buck.

Now, what are you going to do with it?

Use the traffic and power of Ebay AGAINST them - It can be done, for example if you have your website URL on your About Me page, it WILL get listed on Google due to the power of Ebay! You will get more traffic and earn more money WITHOUT the Ebay Fees.

Another way is to have a prodcut that sells for say $10, ie information product, when they go to download they have an option where they can purchase resale rights for $30 - 4 out of 7 buyers go for the reslae rights! And I dont pay Ebay fees!!

Thats a result in my book!

I am fairly new to the world of buying new products and trying to sell them and make a few bucks. I have however made several thousand the past few years, doing it the hard way. Do to a tragedy in my family early this summer my sales fell off, but prior to that I gained Power Seller statis by simply buying items at yard sales and reselling on Ebay. I have purchased several items for only a couple bucks and resold for over $100.00. I bought an old military hat plate awhile back for $12.00 and sold it for $2025.00. This doesn't happen very often but if you look, great deals are out there. I also sell items for other people, they pay the fees, I take a commision. I do this as a hobby mostly and am in no way planning on quiting my day job. If you are just starting out, try yard sales. There are some great deals out there and you rarely have to invest alot of cash. When you can buy an item for .50 cents or a couple bucks and sell for $10-$20 or more, profit margins could run upwards of 500 % - 1000 %. I feel if I can cover my costs, and fill my vehicles with gas weekly, I'm doing alright.
