Does Shopify handle different shipping charges

Does anyone know if a person signs up to use the Shopify platform, does Shopify have the ability to handle the shipping charges of more than one supplier. Various drop ship suppliers all have different shipping charges and I'm wondering if Shopify platform handles different individual shipping charges when calculating shipping charges.
