Drop in sales after Christmas - need advice from everyone

I want to know if others sellers can see Drop in sales after Christmas?(during the Christmas 50-60 products per day) before the christmas i sell 30-40 products per day , now it's much less.
Before 2 weeks ago i changed the shipping to be more slower , so i want to know if it because of the change in the shipping speed or it's for every seller after Christmas? and if it's because of the Christmas , When will it be over?

Really relates to the products you sell, but it's certainly not uncommon to see a drop off of some degree after the Christmas burst. It's well worth monitoring for the next few weeks, just to see if your sales bounce back to pre-Christmas or not.

Things like consumables aren't that effected by seasonal sales usually, they are things people need no matter what the season. You have to bare in mind that many have given their credit card a good bashing over the holiday season, so if it's a product they don't really need, many will hold off until the money situation starts improving again.

So it does heavily depend on the products themselves.

The best thing you can do is just monitor the situation and chart sales flow over the next 4 weeks or so. I would expect normal trading numbers to be returning by mid Feb, so if they aren't, then you need to look at the changes you've made.

Have you thought about setting up a second account and selling against yourself?

Sounds bizarre, but it can be a great way to market research. You set up another account selling some of your best selling items from your other account, but change up things like shipping and so on, then over one or 2 months, take a look at the sales date from both and you get a good idea which is working best.

That then allows you to hone a single platform or if both are working well, then don't fix what isn't broken!

it's ok to do it? to open a new account and sell the same items with the same Paypal? eBay approved it?

Yes, you can have multiple accounts on eBay and all connected to your PayPal account. When you open the new account you'll just have to use a new email address, that's all.

and ebay approve it that i sell the same items by 2 diffrent account with the same paypal address? before 2-3 month ago i read something on this issue and i remembered that ebay approve 2 account only if you sell diffrent items or if you want 1 account for sell and 1 account to buy. please clarify me this point , it's important

I'm not aware of account restrictions, I know I've had up to 8 accounts at once. If you believe there are such limits the best thing to do is confirm with eBay, but I can't imagine why there would be any limitations.

It is against eBay policy to have duplicate listings, but I'm not talking about duplicate listings. Just because you are selling some of the same items as on your other account, the point of the exercise is to make the method different to see what works best. For example, if the product we listed at the same price, then that would fall under the duplication policy, but having the price of the item low, plus shipping on one account, then having the price of the shipping built into on the other account and offering free shipping makes the difference.

The product remains the same price, but it's not a duplicate and what that then tells you is if you get more sales with fee shipping, despite the higher sales price or more sales on the lower price, with shipping added and so on. Can you get some items in different sizes for example, so you sell 500g of one on an account, 250g of another on the other. It's just about exploring different avenues of marketing the same thing to see what works best.
