Hey guys, I'm, as many others here new to this. I've been browsing the forums for tips and I gotta say I've learned a great deal and the people here seem very helpful.

I know you get asked these kinds of questions a lot but I need a little advice on what to do now.

I don't have much experience in e-bay, I created my account after joining Salehoo and I posted an old game card that I had and sold it. Got my first feedback! :)

I don't have a lot of money to spend on items. and I'm not expecting to start making crazy cash right away but, I'm not sure what to do now. My main goal right now is to gain more selling experience. mainly on e-bay.
but I'm always wondering what I should start with now, drop shipping or buy something from a whole seller and try to sell it. but I have a feeling if I only buy 1 product from a whole seller that it will take very long to sell that's if it would even sell since eBay is huge competition and when I look at anything I could sell on e-bay I see 0 bids.

On the other hand Drop shipping sounds like better way for me to start since I don't have a whole lot of money to buy multiple items from whole sellers, which I wish I did since it sounds safer for me to be in control of the shipping and have no surprises or bad experiences.

But when I brows drop shippers it seams there are a lot of things to worry about, like their shipping charges, if they would take me seriously if I call them and ask questions since I wont be ordering many items at start, or if they would have the item in stock if I ever make a sale and many other things.

Please help me move on to the next step. I don't mind moving slowly for little profit or even none. I just want to get the hang of it at first.

Hello HaniAliwi,

Reading your post I appreciate the decisions you have before you.

I am a Supplier. I would like to talk with you about dropshipping. We have no fees, no shipping charges, etc.

There are only two people selling our products on ebay. They are selling them for between 9% and 10% below retail. I will sell our products to you for 30% off retail, so you have a lot of wiggle room to compete with these two sellers. (Note: these two sellers are purchasing product from one of our distributors and I do not have a relationship with these two sellers.)

Please send me Link hidden: Login to view or private message. I look forward to setting up a dropshipping arrangement with you.

Talk with you soon!

Hi HaniAliwi,

Welcome to SaleHoo and congrats on your first sale and feedback! Great job :)

I would say continue how you started. List a few more items from your home and continue to build your feedback before you start any serious investment! Selling things from around your home is one of the best ways to start and often the most recommended.

Once you've got the hang of selling online and creating/writing your listings and titles, then that would be the most ideal time to start investing on dropshippers and wholesalers too! Always good to do a combination :)

But for now practice and keep practicing!

I would suggestion going through your guides on Link hidden: Login to view to help you as you go along!

All the best. Keep us posted of your progress :)

Make sure you always look at completed listings on eBay before buying or listing any product.
Simply login and scroll down the left hand panel until you see completed listings. Click it and you will see all items for the past week that sold and didn't.

That is one of the most important tools on all of eBay. You can use this tool to go to sellers who sold items and see what they are doing and what else they are selling.

You can also use this tool to see what didn't sell and determine if there are a lot items which appear to be from drop shippers because everyone will be using a stock picture from that drop shipper. That way you can determine if a drop shipper is a good source. Of course, that won't be your only method but it is a very good indicator. Then you can see if the sellers are selling anything from that drop shipper.
