I guess opening another account is one way to go, but You won't be able to open a new account everytime you get a neg..

Some customers are going to give you a neg no matter how hard you try to please them. Just use the 'reply option' on the feedback form to leave a 'professional' explaination about the transaction. The majority of buyers are decent folks and will understand and the neg won't really effect you as a seller..

Alot of sellers use the feedback to 'retailiate' and this just puts them in a bad light. Be professional, courteous, and honest in your reply and it will most often be to your advantage. Most folks are smart enough to read and decide if the neg from the buyer was really warranted or not..

Too, you must remember that by starting another account you will be starting again with zero feedback...

This is a situation you cannot escape no matter how good of a seller you are.

I myself have a negative on one of my accounts. I was working my real job one day. A 10 hour shift. Came home to a negative feedback. Apparently the buyer sent me a message at 1PM I got off at 6PM But At 5PM they left me a negative stating I never returned thier message. LOL

About the dumbest reason to get a negative. Apparently Im supposed to be sitting at my pc 24/7 watching my inbox?

Well anyways you cannot escape with a 100% rating. Just move on leave them a negative in return. It will not kill your buisness to have negative feedbacks. unless you have too many. Just do your best to have successfull transactions. Offer refunds, Offer replacement guarantees and always respond to your buyers in a professional manner no matter how they message you.

I have so far done 4,000 Plus transactions and have only recieved 1 negative. I also have it stated clearly in my ME profile that I will respond with a NEG for any NEG left for me. So it sometimes will deter most from dropping a NEG on your account.

Dont start new accounts. You work hard for your feedbacks. New accounts will just slow down your feedback growth.

And as gulfy stated. Dont retaliate on the Negatives you recieve. You are a Professional so you must Act like one. You can reply in plain view to any feedback recieved so your buyers can see your side of the story.

Has anyone ever thought about this as an option??
squaretrade helps to remove neg feedbacks from your profile. sure it costs about 20 dollars for the removal and takes bout a week, but seriously do you really want to try to keep making new accounts for petty people giving neg feedbacks that are not deserved??

Square deal can be abused, I had a situation where I purchased an Info product on where to buy PS3's in the UK - the website was down so I contacted the seller and expalined he just told me to go away...so I left neutral feedback, he then left me negative, then phones me threatening my life - a real nice guy. (So brave he hides his mobile number)

So I did some digging and I reported the matter to Ebay as i am a Powerseller and they deleted his account! Now this guy contacts me asking me to got hrough squaredeal to get his feedback removed - he'd opened a different account.

I am new to selling and have not recieved a neg feedback yet.(Knock on wood) I think whether or not a negative feedback is a bad thing depends on the nature of the feedback. When I have purchased from people with neg feedback I always look to see what the feedback is and if it relates to the item I am purchasing. You can always tell the difference between a picky ebayer and a legitimate complaint. I think that most people do this and I would not look to change my account because of 1 bad experience.

That is true ctbucs however, (playing devil's advocate here) what really analysis can you get from reading neg feedbacks? i mean there are a lot of dishonest people out there that have changed their id's, opened new accounts, pretended to be someone who they really are not, etc. I mean heck this is the internet!!!

Do not misunderstand what i am trying to convey to you, but all i am saying is that i can politely take a wonderful transaction through you and flip it all around to where if i just didn't like you say things that would just put the idea that you (and btw i am not saying you to single you out, but you = anyone) are a bad eBayer...Although there are individuals that look and see if the quantities of neg feedback to an account, you may have to agree with me that even with just 1 neg feedback that it gets posted to the entire public community of ebay, then what happens??? it is planted as a skeptisism for ANYONE who may want to buy from you but they don't...

I received a negative feed back from
some I bought. The item was a lesson
on how to win at the slot machines. When
I review the information which cost me 7.99.

I send the seller a a feedback but it was
not neg & not postitve. Because I had not
gone to the casino to try the method I just said
that I had not tired it and when I did I would
send a feed back. Well the seller got super
irate and said I was an idiot and was going to give me a negative and he did. Well the information about playing the slots really wasn't that great or new. It was nothing that I already knew. And thats my only negative feed back.

Well that is just not what ebay should be all about. The people that get online now a days on ebay are just looking to make killer profits like they did back when it first started out and have no clue that it takes time to make a name for yourself.

I guess because of reasons like the one that you have given above, i never send feedback unless feedback is already left for me. It protects me and the buyer. Now if i am a buyer i find it very difficult to send any kind of feedback if i do not like the information which i have recieved...i see if i can work something out with the seller and 9 times out of 10 it gets resolved and the two of us leave positive feedback for each other. but hey there is always that one...in those instances i just don't leave feedback at all...

Just outsell the neg. i have 3 neg FBs from loonies. SO i leave them one and move on. I just sell and sell some more to keep the ratio good.

One guy left me a neg because he was missing a game from a vintage nintendo console sale. I sent him an email saying I would refund a portion to cover the game.

He left neg. FB saying I never replied. So I gave him one and blocked him from biding on anymore items.

To hell with them. Just keep listing.
