Hello I am just a friendly seller online that every once in a while I like to get other peoples opinions of how I have presented my product online and if people find it competitive. So if a few people could look over my website at www.tlfurniture.ecrater.com it would be greatly appreciated. I have been doing this for a while and I do make some decent money off of it just would like to get some reviews from people.

Also any ideas on how to generate more traffic to my website is greatly appreciated and if anyone knows any awesome web developers I am looking to also get away from ecrater, ebay, bonanzle, etc.

Thanks

Hi confusedmonky13,

You're store seems pretty well put together. You've got great pieces there too! Well done :)

Just one thing though, I would suggest putting something in your "About" page, it just doesn't look good empty. I know you have provided a description on your homepage but having something in the "About" page would be nice too!

Speaking of traffic, I'm not sure if you've read this thread:

If you haven't, please do. It has a number of great ways (not to mention free/cheap) of generating traffic.

I also recommend keeping in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter for daily wholesale and eBay selling tips:

P.S. It's about time you add a pic to your profile - we looking forward to seeing more friendly faces :)

I use Facebook alot. Set up a fan page & post pics of the new items you list. Every once in a while do a promotion like maybe free shipping or a certain percentage off.

Yes, Facebook is a great resource for tapping traffic/exposure! There are so many users these days using Facebook who actually sell their products on Facebook.

A recent study (2010 Social Shopping Study) conducted by the e-tailing Group and PowerReviews showed that Facebook does impact a buyer's decision. To read more, here the link to the full article:

Yes, I'm a big fan of Social Networking sites to promote business. You do have to work it to get the most out of it, if you just establish a profile and ignore it, everyone will usually just ignore it as well.

Nice link btw Richelle, I wasn't aware of those stats, but very interesting to know.

: )

Exactly! You have to be able to respond to whatever inquiry a fan or potential customer will post of your FB wall. Otherwise, they'll just forget about you and start looking elsewhere.

Social networking sites give customers a peek at what you have to offer as a seller especially on your customer service skills. The friendlier and more accommodating you are the more fruitful will your garden be :)

Thanks Marc! It's actually quite new. I first read about it while searching for tweets and FB content..

Cheers!
