Say I decided to sell Altimeters per the latest blog posting.
There are 1279 listings for this product on Ebay - how does yours stand out above the other 1279? One may not always be able to offer it the cheapest.
Appreciate any insight?

Hello Dare2Dream,

That's true that price is not the only factor to consider in staying visibly competitive on ebay. Have you heard of Link hidden: Login to view, ebay's search algorithm?

[quote]"Best Match results are determined according to a complicated search algorithm that is constantly changing. The best thing you can do is list your item for a competitive price, with reasonable shipping, and do your best to perform exceptionally as a seller in providing the best possible experience for your buyers, and you should be fine."[/ quote]

Best Match has been the default sorting method on eBay when anyone does a search. If you can fulfill the items mentioned you have higher chances of landing on the first page or first few pages of the search results.

Alice also has 3 quick tips to help you optimize your ebay listings in this Link hidden: Login to view

Hope this helps! Good luck :)
