Hi I am a new eBay seller and I have about 76 listings up. I have only sold 3 items in the last month and below is an example of how my listings look just some have more pics. I am basically taking items that have recently sold on eBay and selling them a little cheaper and with better titles. I am not having much success and would like some input on my listings? Am I doing something wrong or could it just be a slow month along with my low feedback score? See my listing link below.

Hi Andrew,

I've checked out your example links above and they seem pretty much the same as other sellers' listings with the same product. It would be better if you distinguish yourself specially from competition.

Here are some general tips for getting more sales:

* Work on your product photos. Good pictures convert to more sales. And statistics show that the more pictures you have, the higher the selling price. If you are selling clothing, consider getting a mannequin. For other items, purchase a photo tent. This is an easy way to get a clean, professional background for your photos. Buyers will always choose a professional picture over an amateur one.

* Make sure your item description provides LOTS of detail. Buyers like to learn as much as possible about the item before they buy. The best sellers on eBay have lengthy product descriptions to ensure the buyer isn't left with questions that might prevent them from bidding.

* If your feedback isn't skyhigh, then work on it. eBay buries sellers with low feedback ratings in the search listings, so less people are going to see your items for sale. The best way to get your feedback up fast? List as many items as you can and consider having a sale (either reducing the item price or offering free shipping). Even if you lose a bit of money now, you'll reap the benefits in the long term when your feedback is higher and your listings more visible.

* Try offering faster shipping. Ship the DAY payment is received if possible. Buyers have high expectations and getting their item delivered in record time leaves a great impression.

These tips may sound simple, but we see SO many people neglecting these things in their listings, it's just not funny. Nothing turns a buyer off like a grainy, dark photograph or a single-sentence product description.

Hope that helps.

also forgot to mention leave out model numbers from title and description and crop your items using paint or photoshop if you have it upload many pictures of the product as you can also if the product only has 1 picture just save it to your computer n resize it making sure its above 500x500 ebay loves this and will rank you higher also add keywords for your image name is your item is dishes i put for the photo "Cookware Set" its okay to price your item higher than that its being sold for on ebay a friend of mind made a laughable $400 on a item that costs $200

respond to your negative in a positive way, as a potential buyer, if I see the neg and you have not explained what happened I would be turned away.

Others might think otherwise.

I love seeing the responses to negs where the seller bags out the buyer, why, won't get a repeat sale from them and others may shy away from it, also if you dont respond, looks just as bad, just respond positively.
