I'm a new member and I need help how to get merchandise, goods that I could sell online on eBay, preferably from a drop ship supplier. I'm looking for hot items today.

Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Just look around on salehoo and search. You'll find one pretty soon.

No one can tell you exactly where to go and what to buy. We can help guide you to some sites, based on your choice, but you have to do your homework first. No one wants to hear someone say 'Hi im new here, where do i get this this and that.' While we love to help, we cant work for everyone. Do your homework, then ask about the sites you've found. If someone has a better one they will most likely give it to you.

Well, I think first off, tell us what it is you want to sell.

Then, you can procede to Ebay ...

Anything you are really really interested in?

with the new policies, eBay has become a feeding ground for scammers, people who want your product and a refund, so be warned... you will not even be able to leave neg feedback if they rip you off and steal YOUR product!

What sort of 'fair' policy is that?

eBay is out of its mind.

If you are a new business just starting out, learning the ropes (so to speak), don't do it on eBay. You will not make money, odds are, you will be scammed out of lots of money if you are not very familiar with eBay and PayPal rules. If you do not follow their rules exactly, you can easily be scammed. It just isn't worth it.

There are many many ways to sell product that do not include eBay.

Good luck to everyone.

yep, eBay is becoming stupid....what a change?

Over the period of 6 months, I have noticed a slope in eBay's policies, customer support and now with the issue of not leaving neg feedback, this is ridiculous!

I see they own a share in Gumtree, that didn't charge for ads until a month ago....hmm, I think I know were this is heading.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here to help you along. But you must first do your homework! I would even suggest to take an entrepreneur class and accounting class at a local community college or something online if you are new to the business world.

Starting an online retail website takes a lot of hard work, long hours and incredible amounts of dedication, but is extremely rewarding when you make a customer happy. This aspect of having an online business cannot be sugar coated no matter how hard you try. A very good place to start is by taking a short class on business management to learn the basics of operating a business. There are some good books on the matter also. SaleHoo has a lot of suppliers to approach to obtain their products for resale, whether its dropship or wholesale. Their great staff are all willing to help you get started. As for hot items? The Hot List changes by the hour...only expierence can teach you what to sell. Watch the shoppers at Walmart or Target..what are they buying..what are people wearing, whats in the top of the news..all these will tell you what the customer is looking for. Hope this helped you a little..

GREAT advice! Real simple and practical.

And often times the items on the hot list are not always what are being bought by customers rather just watched. But what we see around us or what we read in magazines/newspapers may not necessarily be 'hot' but are essentials that will certainly be on everyone's shopping list :)

Cheers
