Problems with ebay feedback

I was recently left my first negative and neutral feedback from the same buyer, dropping my positive rating from 100% to 99%. The buyer left the negative feedback because during the shipping process his item got damaged, he asked for a replacement, we obliged, and he then left negative feedback because he believed the damage should never have happened in the first place. Even though it happened during the shipping process, which as nothing to do with us.

I talked to ebay about this injustice, they said they couldn't do anything. I've also asked the buyer, what can I do for him so that he would withdraw his comments, and I'm still waiting for a response. What other avenues do I have to get removed this unreasonable feedack?

Open up what is called a 'mutual feedback dispute resolution' on the feedback pages. Discuss the terms, agree between both of your parties, and when you reach a resolution click resolve and delete the feedback rating from both of your member pages.

I can't see any 'mutual feedback dispute resolution' on the feedback pages? Where is it?

Did you leave him feedback? If you havent return his feedbacks with a negative. It will give you more bargaining power. If he still wants to be a prick then its basically his stupidity hurting himself.

Unfortunately thats one of the many thing that you will experience on ebay. Every so often you will get buyers that no matter what will leave negitive feedback, some people are just like that.

Try you best to come to an agreement with the buyer, but the comment will stay no matter what, the only thing that changes is the percent.

If you have low volume sales, it might be best to buy a whole heap of low value items to fill up the first page of feedback to stop people seeing it when they click on your feedback

You can also respond to the feedback so your side of the story appears under the negative feedback

Your never really going to be able to aviod a negative. There are way too many stupid people in thier world for you to aviod it totally. If you are a good seller and you have many positives. I wouldnt sweat it. I had my first neg several months ago. I had the chance to remove it but. I felt more inclined to kill the starting rep of the buyer that bought from me then to keep my 100%.

Unless you have a really low feedback rating I would just let it go.
