Thats right, they acquired the FREE classified site gumtree.com to compete with Craigslist - after seeing the success of CL!

Today, they have decided to include the option for Featured Ad costing

You do understand the eBay also owns a major stake in CraigsList right? 25% last I checked.

eBay also owns StubHub, Rent.com and its associated sites, and part or all of several other marketplace-type of sites.

Hi, they may own a small share, but its not run by Ebay...it doesnt have the restrictions on you as a seller, and you can post free - where on Ebay can you do that?

Ive lots of experience on ebay and I feel its time to seek other alternatives.

However, a colleague has just forwarded a way to get onto Ebay Pulse for YOUR particular item, if your interested PM me! I'll send the info to you.

I don't sell on eBay any more because I think it's a crap site with crap security and worse privacy practices, and because their treatment of sellers went downhill years ago. I was merely pointing out that when you say 'down with eBay and up with CL' it isn't necessarily hurting eBay. The eBay marketplace still makes up the bulk of eBay's revenue, but not nearly as much as it used to. PayPal accounts for nearly a third on its own, and the other market site share -- including CL -- are the fastest-growing part of eBay's income.

I understand that CL is free for users, but saying it doesn't have restrictions on sellers is simply untrue -- otherwise why are so many IM-focused discussion forums filled with threads about posting on CL without getting your ads deleted?

Frank,

you right, but I can post the SAME ad in 200 cities Per DAY and I havent had my account banned! Like most things in life, 'its easy when you know how.'

Ok, to your point about Paypal being a larger revenue for the Ebay group, thats correct too, hence me using a UK Merchant Account for 90% of my transactions called Protx...the other 10% is for the Information Products as Protx deem them to high a 'risk'.

The point, I was getting at Frank, is that unlike Ebay, I can list all day on CL and t will not cost me 1 RED CENT - compared to the

Hey Frank
I just bought your product and I have to say I am a bit disappointed that there was no warning that they were Windows based applications. I, like thousands of other people, use a Mac and this product is useless to me. Can I have a refund or is it just Mac user loss when they purchase it?

Regards
Allan

Allan,

Ive answered your PM, your right about it not being compatible with MACs, however with 95% of Internet Marketers using PC's I can't see the point in converting it...

The work around as I explained in the PM, is to get a friend who's got a PC to print it off for you using a PC - not a big issue at all, is it really?

have a great day.

Grahamg,

Thanks for the quick reply. I worked around some issues but the other, i.e. exe. files, I simply gave them to one of my friend. Didn't mean to rename you. I had a question for Frank but changed my mini at the last minute.

But the way my payment was made under my name, E. BAPTISTE. See if I am right

CraigList is indeed great but Bidville and the like are the wave of the future..........

Especially once they are going to be receiving........thousands and thousands of visitors I got to say....

Bidpay is the best payment method.

grahamg I have the perfect idea for Bidville & CraigList.....

It requires one thing: GETTING a Nintendo WII listed into PULSE & I think you're one of the only ones who knows how to do this...

If I can do this with your advice, I believe I could get it past & then virtually re-direct ALL of the traffic to CraigList/Bidville during one pass which would mean....

If it worked, everybody could sell there now & we could start bringing in some real business. But, it would have to be this...

NINTENDO WII is the most popular product, and that is where I'd need to add the redirect links right there on the page..

NINTENDO WII comes up in all the search engines, the instant you put it in.......I can tell this is the most popular product of everything this year...

I sell internet marketing products, my keyword search on Google brings up 8 MILLION competitors with me at #1 spot without paying 1 RED cent in advertising.

I will not advertise your Wii for you.

I don't want the WII advertised by anybody.

I just want to know how to get it in THERE and if I can do it myself with what you say.

NO scam- 100% legitimate I promise. My feedback is perfect and I NEVER do any scams. Just tell me how I can get it there and the rest would follow.
