well, I sold 5 things yesterday being Sunday, hopefuly with today being a Public holiday in australia, we may have a good night today also..

Quicksales is still slow

What I have been doing is, when I sell something on ebay, I message the customer thanking them and ask them to come on over and check my store on quicksales.

Good idea, cross marketing is what it's all about. Don't forget to mail out cards with your shipping as well, even something with a small discount on their next purchase as a thank you.

I used to send out two, one of the buyer and one for them to give a friend or family member to try out the products :)

Cards are better as they will last longer and have more chance of being kept, but you can simply design and print up a paper voucher with a printer, some paper and a free vector graphics program, so that all helps to reduce the cost.

Good for you T0pSales :)

And the thank you email gives a nice personal touch to your transactions other than being able to promote your other store on Quicksales!

A discount voucher also seems like a great idea to lure them back for a second transaction! Or you may send them a small thank you gift after a couple or so successful transactions (if you are not using a dropshipper)

You can still give them a discount voucher/code for their second or third purchase by mentioning it in your email (if you feel like it) seeing as your items are sent out by your dropshipper.

You can also refer to other Link hidden: Login to view from Alice at how you can encourage repeat smiles and retain happy customers.

All the best!

hard to give any sort of discount right now on QS as my margins are very small, trying to build a customer base.

Good point, over looked that lol

You can make it cheaper then and do an electronic one, too easy. In regards to tight margins, offer a purchase two at special price just for you type deal, then you cover your margin on the first and sell the second at a reduced margin or give it away as you are still making your money on one.

It's a good way to introduce customers to new products, and is very effective if you can offer them on similar items to what they just purchased.

Just remember to allow for the difference in postage from your DS

You should also consider doing a monthly newsletter if your customer base is building. That's a great place to list bonus package deals, and of course with zero eBay fees.

: )
