Not sure what the question is Laurie, are you wanting to know how to list on eBay US with an Australian account?

Easy, just login to the eBay US site with the AU login info and place your listing.

That's an interesting one, not actually sure how the store format works. Can only try and see how you go :)

Ok, I have started listing on ebay US site but, it appears that they limit listings to 10 items per month with a limit of $500, unfortunately for me, it keeps giving me a error message stating I have already exceeded these limits.

After more than an hour and a half on the phone to ebay, they have realised that this is a bug that they are trying to fix, until then, I cannot list anything.

Oh, and they wont increase my limits until I sell 10 items and have positive feedback for them sales..

Anyone want to sell bags of dirt?

Very strange, I would have thought that having a good open trading record on eBay AU would have been enough to dodge the limitation, but they're making you start off as a new seller all over again.

At least they're sorting that bug out for you, I knew it had to be something like that when you mentioned it to me earlier.

Just a thought Laurie,

Do you have any products that you can legitimately list under the classified section, maybe get around the selling limit that way?

currently my AU ebay account is not so good, as I got sick 18 months ago, I were in hospital for 3 weeks, I got a lot of negs as I could not get access to a computer to fill orders, even though I explained the problem, I still received about 10 negs in a row, I can hide the feedback and go from there, but I am always unsure of sellers who hide feedback

OK, ebay are saying that my problem is I don't have a CC on record and need to add one, they are also saying that I need an reimbursement payment method set up, never heard of the second one..

Yes, you will need a card hooked to your PayPal account, something they can go after to get their money if your PayPal account doesn't have the funds. Regarding the reimbursement policy, that really should just be stating what your return policy is or if in fact you even accept returns.

Hi Mark,

Following on from this, is it possible you source products from Salehoo's American suppliers, list them on eBay USA and Dropship them to ebay US customers, all from Australia?

Thanks

No problems at all David, just remember to set your item location as the USA for USA suppliers

Cheers

Hi team
Sorry to join the post so late, however I seem to be struggling to do just as David said - I have a USA drop shipping provider, and I have created a new AUS account under my business name. I have tried listing two different items, and each time I go to post I get this response:

It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
Attention
It looks like you've exceeded the number of items you can list. You can list up to 0 items this month.

To request higher selling limits, please call us.

I have a credit card listed to my Paypal account, and for all intent and purpose the account is not showing any errors. I am not selling any items that would raise eyebrows (one listing was for Straws, and the other for paper napkins) Only issue I can see is that I have not sold anything on this account to build up a good record - but how do I build up a good record when I can't list anything????? Any help/assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Kirsty and welcome to the forum,

Is your other account also new and still under selling limits?

Even though you have aopened a new account, you don't get a restart on your selling limits, they are carried over from your original account. So my best guess is that you have reached your selling limits on your other account and that's what is causing the problem. If that's not the case, then best to contact eBay support and inform them of the issue.

Cheers

Hi Reme and welcome to the forum,

When you say that you have chosen your products, have you fully researched the market on those products and clearly identified your compeition and your pricing model?

If not, that would be my suggestion for the next step before entering the market.
