Does anyone know a good place to buy or find boxes or some type of a mailer to ship small items like sunglasses or watches? I don't want to trust an envelope because they could be crushed..but I would also like to find something small and light weight so I could take advantage of the very low rates of first class mail that will usually be under 13 ounces.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide!

The post office has free boxes and you can even go online, order them and have them shipped to your house.

I would definately look locally for a custom box company. We have one up here I used for golf clubs and they had plenty to choose from and usually you can get them delivered next day. Only problem is you'll need to order in bulk like ~25 piece bundles. That way you won't deal with shipping or taxes(yes your tax form is required). Checkout uline.com

I actually bought some sunglasses and they came in a small form cardboard box that fit perfectly. you might want to invest in some rigid generic glasses cases to further prevent damage, especially if you're selling some high end oakley's or something.

Try one of your local gift shops or two-dollar shops. They throw out hundreds of small boxes weekly after packing items onto their shelves. They are often happy to get rid of them. Two-dollar shops also sell rigid spectacle cases. into which you can pack your sunglasses and then ship in a padded envelope.

Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer

Hey everyone thanks for the advice. I went with Uline and got perfect sized boxes for around 20 cents a piece (I needed around 300). It should save me money overall as with the light small boxes uline offers I can ship 1st class mail for about 30% what it would have costed me for priority shipping which I would have done only to use usps's boxes. Also no they are not too expensive and I will wrap in a layer of giftwrap to make sure everything goes well.
