Hi everyone! I am new here, recently joined yesterday. I was thinking about starting my own business on ebay but due to all the fees, dropshipping fee, ad fee, shipping etc. I doubt I can make enough profit with the items I'm selling. I'm really into fashion and that type of stuff. I want to offer decent prices for cute accessories and other stuff so I thought of just opening my own little store at a local bazzar in the meantime. I know I need a business plan but I don't know where to start! I've already looked at a few things that I will like to sell but Im not sure where to go from here. Anyone have any tips or advice? Thank you!

you could also try Link hidden: Login to view I believe they have some good deals and you may be able to select better what you order.

Well you will need eBay and places like ecrater, but mostly to drive even more business to your store.

There are alot of free places like

And the newest one which has some very good items.

But still, you are going to need an account probably at bidz.com and Link hidden: Login to view

Those will give you better profit margins. And the easiest way is to just buy in bulk, have every item sold at a different price and drive a huge load of traffic to your website.

A tip...DON'T pay for advertising..most everything out there that is worthwhile is free. And DON'T pay eBay's monstrous fees.

You can still use eBay and even uBid without paying monstrous reseller fees, just use only the value pack and list the item. Typical products you sell this way cost as low as $3.00 to list.

I've even listed for about $1.65 this way and still sell the items....why use the extras, if you can get everyone to come for free and buy anyway?

Yes that is the key to online success....take it from me, once you see the ways to market and win at your website for free you never go back. I have made sales orders right direct off my website, they go to the auction listings from there. And with nearly 2000 hits its easy to see why....and just imagine you could have a FREE store on ecrater, and another, and STILL drive everybody to your place.

Then fill all the orders.

Thank you for the interesting read it could be very helpful. I am in the UK that is my main problem where am I likely to find Stock cheap ?

I understand I need a UK supplier to avoid the dreaded import fees over here ?

I am a person who would like to sell Ipods, laptops and game consoles as these are areas I know best.

I have found a dropship company that seems to offer ok prices e.g a green Ipod nano 4gb

If you can arrange shipping with fed ex you might be able to aviod import taxes. I have never been slammed by these surcharges when shipping large value items overseas.
