Hi, I have decided to try dropshipping surfgear to the us and looked at the two sites.

I am trying to decide about between UBID and Amazon.

I have lookd on Amazon and I am compting with 2000 products of each that I want to sell on Amazon(sold by amazon themselves) but there are more members. They have a monthly fee

Ubid. -less members. Nobody is selling Billabong but only a one off fee FOR LIFE and then no fees ever again. But less members
Could anyone give me their advise please
(IF YOU HAV ANY OTHR GREAT AUCTION SITES BETTER PLEASE LET ME KNOW)

thanks
Deb

If you look at Alexa which is a great site for researching other sites.

Amazon and eBay have very similar site visitors. I think Amazon is 48 and eBay is 22 in ranking. Lower is better.

Funny to see that I think it was 05 and 06 were the peak of visitors to these two sites

Both of these sites have very similar histories, almost identical in visitor graphs.

EBID is dead as far as visitors.

Ubid is much better.

Amazon doesn't charge to list items but I think the percentage they charge when you sell an item ranges from 5%-15% depending on what item you're selling.

I second Planes, you should really look
at the amount of traffic you're getting.

It doesn't make sense going with eBid
and there is no traffic.

I personally think Amazon is the better way to go because of the traffic it generates. Granted my sales there are slower than eBay but TRAFFIC is the key word!
