Well I just signed up for salehoo last night and before i purchased it I did a whole bunch of research about it. I heard some pros and then cons about this site. The good thing I seen so far is that every wholesaler and dropshipper are listed with reviews and comments and such, giving newcomers a chance to see who there dealing with. And also i checked out the forums and seen that the staff on this site is pretty repsonsive to their members. Now for the cons, I did alot of research on this site as far as wholesalers and dropshippers, it seems that there arent to many for any catergory at all. I cant even find nike brand shoes!!!! Plus the prices that most of them supply are comparable to ebay prices, actually alot higher. Im trying to find my own niche with the lil money i have(like $200). I do what it takes to sell anything. Im more interested in electronics but its too much competition and plus i dont have the money to be able to out beat everyone haha. I just dont know were to start really and was thinking bout getting a refund back but i wanted to write this post to the world of salehoo and tell me what they think i should do.

Hi Jmyers2020 and firstly welcome to SaleHoo.

We do cover the subject of ebay prices and why they are set at wholesale and below in some cases in a lot of detail on the forum, so that information is there if you are interested in learning more about that.

In regards to Nike, most branded shoes like this are sold through licensed distribution channels, not open to the general public wholesalers. This way the company is better able to control the market.

You're absolutely correct about electronics, super competitive market, especially on eBay. That's a BIG dollar game if you want to play with the big boys in that sand pit!

The advice we always give to those just starting out is take a look around the home, see what you can find that you no longer use and start listing that on eBay.

There are a couple of advantages to this.
1. No outlay
2. Great research tool to see how well certain products sell.

I always advise to look at the Second Hand market as well, especially places like yard sales, weekend markets, auction houses and so on. Second Hand products have always been, and continue to be great eBay sellers, and here is where you can find branded electronics and Nike products in good condition, at bargain prices.

It's a market resource where 200 is plenty to get you rolling if you know how to spot a good deal, and know how to talk an even better one!

: )

I mean, i want to get started right away with the resources that you provide but i also dont want my membership to go to waste by not taking advantage of it.(if that make sense lol)

Hi and welcome Jmyers2020,

Marc's right (as always! lol) but seriously, selling things from around your home is a great way to start and is often recommended for first timers. Other than the reasons Marc gave you, selling things from your home also allows you to hone your selling skills, gives you the chance to earn extra capital for bigger buying opportunities and allows you to build up your feedback as a seller - nowadays buyers will often scrutinize a seller's reputation so a good feedback score would come in really handy!

Tip: when sourcing for branded items no matter how tempting and tired you are from searching all day do NOT fall for the "brand name" products being sold on Chinese websites! Always do your research before buying from any supplier especially those you'll find outside our directory. Our guide "New User Manual" may help in your supplier search - to download your copy please go to Link hidden: Login to view and scroll down the page it's the sixth one down.

All the best and cheers!

Nothing wrong with covering multiple resource avenues, you can go with second hand and drop shipping if you wanted to, but don't make the mistake of thinking you would be wasting your membership here by not using the supplier directory to start with.

You've got a 24 hour advice, educational and support resource here with your membership, SaleHoo offer so much more than just a simple suppliers directory, so you can get value out of your membership through various applications of the site.
