Hey, i just joined the site and am trying to start an ebay store that sells accessories. I want to sell on other sites in the future, but i wanna start off on ebay. Im going to start selling sunglasses, but i need help with working with wholesale suppliers and am a little confused about how to order from them. I really need any tips or help anybody can offer. Are accessories the right thing to start with? Thanks!!

I would be starting with some basic research, firstly seeing what was available on ebay, and the prices.

You might find Link hidden: Login to view a good tool for your research. Once you have an understanding of what is selling, and for how much, you can then look at suppliers of your chosen products, and see if you can get into the market with what they can offer you.

Chances are it won't be easy to get into the ebay market with wholesale suppliers, you may need to look at other avenues such as liquidations, volume purchases, etc.

hello everyone, I'm interested in getting started, but that my problem is that i'm at ground zero. I dont know what to do, everytime i look into purchasing products from these wholesalers, they need business id's or applications that, frankly, i am not applicable for.

I really need help, I purchased salehoo hoping to do some research, then just start purchasing bulk products of electronics like nintendo wii's, xbox 360s, and ps3's. even accessories but it seems like everytime i try to find a suitable page or wholesaler I come out with nothing. Some are even charging (after shipping) more than if i went to wallmart PLEEASEEE I NEEED HELP!!!! :(

Hi Couto.

You've picked a really competitive market in that of Video Games, and perhaps the most competitive prices on the planet are found in the US retail marketplace. You don't say where you will be marketing these products, but if it's a platform like eBay, then you're also picking the most competitive marketplace to sell on.

Perhaps not all doom and gloom, because you have the absolute best idea of purchasing in bulk as that is the only way you would have any real chance of getting a foot hold in Games in the US I would suggest. Unfortunately, anyone who is going to be able to provide you a good enough volume price to allow you to compete is more than likely going to need trading details.

What is the issue with you not being able to secure a tax id at the moment?

well see my problem is that i have never done this so i don't know whats involved. i was goin to sell on caraigslist and kijiji. When i purchased salehoo i also was told that i was going to get some literature that was worth 279, it was something about ebay power sellers and it was a bonus offer that was accompanied with salehoo. I am also open to cameras, mp3 mp4 players i was looking at liquidation.com and found some really great bulk offers. But can i trust them????. i just dont know where to start ...small is in my sight maybe like a lot of 10 digital cameras, but my problem is that i have about 1000 to get started so if i get ripped off on my first buy .... im pretty much screwed!!. I am a quick learner and have time to invest and would love to start a thriving business but as i said am a beginner and dont want to get all my money tied up into something that is going to throw me out faster than i got in if u know what i mean

thanks for all the help

OK, firstly it's not difficult to get access to genuine wholesale prices, you just need a tax id as proof of you being a legitimate trader, but that of course means running it has a business.

Let me know if you have not yet received your bonus offer and I'll get one of the customer support team to chase that up for you no problems at all.

In regards to Liquidation.com, you'll find quite a lot written about them in the forum, just enter liquidation.com onto the search interface and read away. Basically you are dealing with independent sellers there, not so much with one company.

It's very much a mixed bag, you can get some great deals, some real garbage and a mixture of both, so you need to focus your research on the actual seller who you are interested in.

We have a supplier of NTSC games on the forum called GH Games, they are based in Singapore. Only just talking with them yesterday, so I'll get them to contact you and see if they can be of some assistance.

Cheers
