Hi golfio990,

There are two ways to find out what is selling well on eBay:

1) Check out the popular searches and most popular products on eBay:
Popular searches: Link hidden: Login to view
Best selling products: Link hidden: Login to view
eBay pulse: Link hidden: Login to view

2) Perform completed listings searches for products or brand names to see the conversion rate and average selling price. To do a completed listings search, simply click the Advanced Search button next to the main eBay search box. Enter your search keywords as usual, and then check the Completed Listings box. Hit search and you'll see historical data for the previous 30 days. Successful items are in green; unsuccessful items are in red.

Hope that helps :)

Thats about the worst answer ive seen yet! the completed listing is a good idea, but trying to sell whats selling is a sure road to failure!

The problem is, if you try selling the hot sellers, you will be competeing with countless sellers who have allready establishied themselves in that catagorie. and you will have a tuff!!!!!!! time competeing with their price.

AGAIN Salehoo needs to put more thought in their answers.

Yeah I would agree dreamcatcher. ebay markets that popular products and pulse list in order to bring in more sellers to buy those products and list on ebay which in return more listing fees+FVF=more money in ebays pocket!

The two posters above make the point very clearly, finding out what the hot sellers on ebay are is simple, actually trying to crack the mass saturated market to share in the spoils in virtually impossible, and completely out of the reach of most.

Don't be too hard on the support staff, everyone is trying to their best to offer a range of solutions. As the forum manager, it is my role to service member inquiries in more depth, and while I am never too far away, I can't be here 24/7, so some may get past me.

Having said that, I wasn't the manager in 2007 lol, so I'm not going to take the wrap for missing that one : )

With the new changes to the site on the way, you'll find that the support staff are doing a lot of digging through the forum at the moment. So while it may seem a little strange that posts from a couple of years ago are now being answered, the answers themselves can still be quite relevant today.

No problem at all Marc, I greatly appreciate all the help that the staff is doing I just think its a common assumption for many to think that hot buys and ebay pulse are a good source to use when researching products. I hope I didn't offend any of the staff by my posting.

No, no drama at all don, the point both you and dreamcatcher made was spot on and I couldn't agree more. I just wanted to say that while we all try to respond to members inquiries asap, our advice may not always be as sharp as some would hope.

I can tell everyone that if a response doesn't meet with their expectations, it's not through a lack of effort, but having areas indicated where members think the level could, and should be higher, then of course they should be pointed out.

As long as everyone knows that the effort is being made : )
