What is selling good on ebay besides Ipods? I cannot for the life of me find a place to get ipods that is reliable and cheap enough to make a profit, so I am looking for other products to sell. People are making a living off of ebay, now how are they doing it?!

What do you consider 'cheap enough?' If you're looking for 4G nanos that are $150 each ..... dream on. I've seen 4G nanos for $198 in relatively small quantities (25) but nothing much better than that. You may be able to get them as low as $180 if you can buy 100 or more at a time. However, the companies that are selling them for that price have some dubious (at best) past records. The 4G units are selling for around $235 on eBay right now. So you're probably looking at a gross profit of roughly 18% before expenses. Unfortunately, in the consumer electronics market, that's probably on the high side of normal. And of course, on eBay, buyers are always trying to get the biggest bargain they can so $235 is not gauranteed.

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi,

Use the 'pulse' feature on eBay to see what is 'hot'.

I see at the moment that it is dominated by ipod's, but look at it another way in terms of ipod's selling well, then it goes without saying that the accessories market is 'hot' too.

I am making a reasonable return on selling the cases and headphones at the moment, but locally here in New Zealand.

I know that selecting what to sell and finding the market and competion for the item is. So to try and help out with a few products that automate this process.

To view them just go to:

If you like what you see please order and email to friend, also tell them to do the same.

Everyone is selling the same thing on Ebay. Try to be unique. I think someone posted about this before.

I am a typical success story of ebay. I literally sold everything and anything in my house to build up some inventory only cash. I even went digging through my attic. I did not get a store, that can happen later just a waste of money until you are rolling. I did all the hot searches and read all the ebay info on the site.

First, I bought the issue of Entrepeneur magazine that does an issue devoted to building a biz on ebay three times a year. I read it cover to cover at least three times. I still use it now for a reference.

I had so many different types of things listed. The funny thing is I also listed some things from a dropship company. Things I researched on ebay that seemed to be selling, not ones that had 50 listings already. The only thing that sold from the dropship company was an 8.00 SpongeBob wall clock LOL!

This gave me an idea of what to sell and what I wanted to sell on ebay. Everybody has a niche that does well on this auction site. Some people are down on ebay, but I am a big believer in it. I know if I want something I look there first.

So I built up my inventory cash and turned it right around. Now I am doing very well. Just because you list something and it doesn't sell the first time - relist. It just means that the timinig wasn't right. Plus ebay will give you some money back on your relisting fee if it sells.

Okay that is my 2 cents - hope it was helpful.

I think if you have a hobby, you should sell items that are related to that hobby. You may be the expert and can offer advice and tips to your customers. It works for me!
