I sell custom Made Full Color Wholesale Banners.
All Sizes Available @ Less than $2.00 Per SqFt
(Orders over $75 Include Free Shipping)

Here is my Ebay ID: Wholesaledeals01

My Price's are some of the Best offered on ebay for the Quality!

Also i was wondering why none of my Listing were showing up when searching: Custom Banner....
They Show Up till around Pages 20 and so on.

Then i Figured out if i post Auction Style Listings they Show up on the First Page
How come others dont have to set Auction Style Listing to get there item on the First Pages?

What can i do to get more Traffic to my Listing and sell more?

Any help Would Be Appreciated, Thank you

I've put aside some time to tie up some loose ends this afternoon, and going right over that for you is one of those ends top tie up, so I'll see what we can come up with for you.

Just going through some of your old listings now, one quick question. I notice that the page views are very low from what I'm looking at here, have you noticed the numbers declining in the recent past or have they always been relatively low?

Just wanting to get a grasp of your average market at the moment.

Regarding the search engine issues, there are a few things that can effect the positioning of your listing in the search engine results, store format, Power Seller status for example, but check this link out for some basic tips on how to get the most from your listings search results.

A question regarding your slideshows as well. I notice that the slides aren't relevant to your product range, just wondering if you are using that as a revenue raising tool?

What exactly do you mean by....

(A question regarding your slideshows as well. I notice that the slides aren't relevant to your product range, just wondering if you are using that as a revenue raising tool? )

Yes im trying to use this as a Revenue Raising Tool, i thought it would help increase sells, and will also give customer an example of the Work we have done.
(All pictures shown is work we have Designed and Printed)

I have seen an increase in traffic since i am now able to track it with my store.
The First Day i opened my Store there was a Total of 4 People who viewed my listings all day...
Then the Next day i Advertised a bit with Bump Sites... and i got a total of 130 Total Page View All day.
I know that isnt enough page views to increase sales much.

Well it sounds like you are starting to build traffic, so that's a good step in the right direction. It's an interesting product to sell on ebay really, I wouldn't personally expect ebay to be a hot bed of activity for business promotional products such as marketing banners.

Have you considered a direct mail campaign to businesses around your own area to create some target rich marketing in?

It's a product that lends itself very well to developing your own independent site if you put an effective marketing strategy into place to accompany it.

I can't help but feel that without an effective marketing campaign, ebay alone won't drive enough target rich traffic on its own. I'm sure you'll get views, but I would expect the sale conversion rate to remain low if no other marketing strategy is put into motion.

I think at times that we all tend to think that ebay is the be all and end all of e-commerce, and while it's a great marketplace for a lot of products, it's a long way short of being perfect for everything.

I might have missed it, but I wasn't aware that those banners were actually created by you. I was left with a feeling of confusion, not knowing if they were paid advertisements from other businesses or something.

It's a good idea to highlight your work, but I would incorporate that a little better so it was simple for the potential client to know what they were looking at.

Great looking graphic you have for your listing, first rate. I would also look at developing a template with that theme and incorporate everything into that template so as you can build a strong brand.

At the moment, it almost doesn't look like that graphic is part of your business. It's almost as if that belongs to some business that you are promoting, and then your listing starts under that.

I think a fully incorporated template with that branding would give far more continuity and would flow far better in promoting a very effective listing.

I had a look at some other competitors and was interested to see that there are a few there that specialize, for example one was doing kids banners, and was getting sales.

Might well be worth giving a diverse range of design ideas to cover a multitude of demographics, that could increase interest.

All in all it seems like an interesting product range, and one that has some serious potential if you can tie it all together.

: )

Smart move for my money getting a custom option built. It won't generate traffic on its own, but it will have an impact on the traffic that you do generate.

You get all that tied together, along with your work samples and all the relevant info, and that's going to be SHARP!

Now, if you want to use your ebay account do some traffic generation for your own independent website, should you decide to also have one developed, here's a key tip for promoting it to your ebay traffic that is within the rules.

Get the developer to also do up an About Us page (Me Page) There you are permitted to have two offsite links. Now you can't link those to a website selling the same as your account, however the loop hole here is that you are able to use those links for social networking marketing.

Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and so on. If you have your own site you can get your ebay visitors to join your social networking sites by offering them special friends only discounts and that type of thing. Once they sign up to one of your sites, Twitter or whatever, you are then able to promote your own site to them directly via those sites.

Newsletter subscriptions is another key area to focus on if you want to generate more sales, and you can also promote an independent website to subscribers, that's also within ebay's guidelines.

Now of course those two tips are mostly about using ebay to generate traffic for an independent site, but you can hit those social networking sites to try and get traffic flowing to ebay as well.

I look forward to seeing that layout when it's all completed, that should be very impressive. Start working on some marketing strategies to combine with that, and I think you would have every reason to be optimistic about your success.

I would keep the About Me page branded the same as your listing frame, I would also follow that same branding with the store as well, keep it all tied in together.

The thing about having an About Me page is that you have to generate interest in getting people to look there. It's a golden marketing opportunity to use ebay traffic for offsite marketing, but most people won't even visit that page unless they have a good reason.

We use information to drive traffic to that page by including a link on our listing frame template that we call our Answer Centre, and then we hide payment and shipping options, as well as other product related information, that forces the customers to visit the page.

We favour a single icon link, but you could of course have the developer create links for all the information you wanted to store on that page. Shipping, Payment, Special Offers and so on. From there your customers have simple navigation to whatever info they want.

Of course getting them there is no guarantee of them then clicking on your Myspace or Facebook page, but at least it gives you a fighting chance. What it also does is allow you to keep your listing frame dedicated to the listing itself.

Now make no mistake about it, the more informative a listing is, the better your chances are of making a sale. However, so many times I see listings with so much information that it's often hard to find what you really want, as you keep scrolling down the page for two minutes. That can be just as off-putting to a potential customer as not having enough information to start with.

Delicate balance, but utilising the About Me page can keep it all nice and simple to navigate for information, and at the same time provide you with off-site marketing opportunities........ and all within ebay's guidelines!

Fudjj. Am I right in suggesting a link from the text of the ebay listing to ones ME page is still allowed as well as a pop up email link from ones ebay listing page?

And a link to ones website from ones ME page for the purpose of getting more info on some part of an eBay listing?

So therefore one could easily click that link instead of having to search for the ME link and an easy pop up link for direct email to the seller.

And in the ME page one could have a direct link to a website for the purpose of finding answers to ship times or special materials etc... .

Sorry if this sounds redundant.

your feedback in the last 6 months is :
79 positive
9 negatives

I'm sorry but for a seller that's really not good at all, I received 3 neutrals and 1 negative in a month and saw my sales slightly drop.

Two reasons:

one, you are not top rate seller on ebay

two, you have low DSR

Those two factors limit your listings exposure.

Thats why there are new sellers offering free shipping on 0.99 items and within in one month or two they have perfect DSR and top rate seller status.
