Hello,

I am a new member on SaleHoo and I have to say I'm highly disappointed. After a long research, I decided to join SaleHoo and finally choose a women's clothing or brand clothing dropshipper. I don't want to sell something that looks worn out or old and to be honest I am not seeing any dropshippers that are selling what I am looking for.

I already am a member of WWB - they are worse than SaleHoo and their one time fee membership for literally nothing is $300. SaleHoo has a bunch of wholesalers that I have already shopped from (i.e. liquidations.com and macyliquidations.com) and from outside such as candy apparel, lashowroom.com. I can name at least 30 websites of wholesalers that I have already researched on my own and bought from that are also listed here - so I literally threw away $67. Again, I spent 30 minutes here on SaleHoo website and I didn't find not one women brand/designer clothing dropshipper.

I'm not looking for wholesalers right now (as I don't want to get stuck like I am now with 200 skirts that I bought from liquidations.com) so, how do you win here? Am I wrong? Blind? Where are these women brand/designer clothing dropshippers? Can someone name at least one for me here on SaleHoo? I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, and another thing, they do not provide you an access where you can directly from their website email or contact electronically vendors/suppliers, you have to contact them on your own? They just provide you their contact info. While on WWB, you just select the supplier and one click and your application with all the necessary information is sent to the suppliers.

Hi Blondie,

I agree many of our suppliers can be found by doing a simple Google search but when you find a supplier via Google you are not guaranteed that that supplier is legitimate and safe to deal with, whereas here at SaleHoo we have already pre-screened the suppliers to ensure that they are safe.

Many of our master members who have been with us for more than a couple of years will agree with me when I say that 30 minutes is too short a time to judge what SaleHoo has to offer :) We do offer a 60 day money back guarantee so I suggest taking advantage of your 60 days to really explore our site.

If you haven't noticed we do offer other features apart from our directory that might well be worth staying - like our Link hidden: Login to view, Link hidden: Login to view and the forum is a treasure chest overflowing with information!

As I mentioned in my reply to your other post, brand name products are not that easy to come by online even at wholesale, all the more through dropshipping. Since many brand owners limit their brand's distribution through authorized channels to protect it from counterfeits.

May I ask may specific brands are you after? We would be happy to help you locate suitable dropshippers.

Here at SaleHoo, everyone can access and contact the supplier directly. Simply visit the supplier's profile page to view their contact details and other information. All business transactions are done between you and your chosen supplier.

Talk to you soon!

Any brands that you would see in a big department stores. I know they offer them in pallets on liquidation sites, but I need dropshippers.

Even if they are not brands, as long as they have at least a bit edgy, contemporary, modern, nice clothes.

Blondie,

You are chasing the moon trying to find name brand clothing through dropshippers. The brands do so much to protect and hedge against dilution, you're almost going to have to deal in liquidation and wholesale. Even at the liquidation level, you'll find some brands who impose restrictions on the liquidated merchandise -- from experience, Victoria's Secret (ex wife and I ran a lingerie store) requires their tags to be cut off, and any materials like sleep shirts and robes which have the VS logo printed or embroidered on them cannot be run through liquidation channels. So you can get a huge amount of VS lingerie, but none of it actually says "Victoria's Secret" on it anywhere.

This is not an unusual practice, and by no means the only or most extreme measure fashion brands take to protect the brand name. You have to bear in mind that most brands do not want to be listed on eBay for a fraction of the retail price, or in flea markets, or other venues. They want to be thought of as being worth $x.xx and not a dime less, and the prevailing view in fashion is that catering to the bargain crowd is undesireable. So, trying to find someone who can and will dropship serious clothing brands, and who can actually provide an ongoing and varied product selection, is just very unlikely to happen, not because there's anything wrong with SaleHoo, Worldwide Brands, or the liquidators, but because of established practices in the niche in which you're trying to function.

Thank you Frank so much on your insight and honesty. I guess I've so far concluded the same - that I will not be able to seel brand designer clothing, but what about BHFO? Where do they get their brand designer merchandise? You can look them up on eBay under user ID BHexpress? That is what I don't get. And I've ordered from them 2 items and all I can say the products I got from them were in pretty bad shape - wrinkled, and almost like they've been worn out the items I mean. So, okay, where can I get the decent clothing dropshipper at least? Is that available? I don't want to sell any "clubbing" cheap looking clothing, I want modern clothes, like karmaloop.com for example...Anyone?

I'd say, judging by the number of really horrible reviews on quality (and your own comments above) that they are getting them through liquidation channels. As I said, you're almost going to have to deal in liquidation and wholesale. Not every brand goes to the same lengths to protect against dilution, but I do note that there are many "Famous Brand" and "National Catalog" type listings vs. ones with name brands on them, especially at eBay (since eBay considers themselves the trademark world police.)

Judging by what I'm reading in their eBay and Amazon feedback, and by the sheerly massive number of transactions they have on eBay, that they are buying bulk loads directly from distribution centers. Their prices are not great, but from what I know of liquidation prices they're charging 300-500% markup on everything. Nice business to be in if you have the infrastructure to support it (warehouse, trucks, manpower, etc.)

But anyway, short version (too late!) is, BHFO seems to be a major liquidation seller, not a dropshipper and certainly not using any dropshippers to source their merchandise. As I said before, you can buy designer stuff through the liquidation market -- it's just almost impossible to find any via dropshippers.
