Has anyone done business with this seller, Daves (Sneakerglobal)
I did the initial inquirey for Nike with Salehoo, They gave me web site for Nikeglobal, I emailed them and they gave me this Site i.e. Daves ( sneakerglobal )

What formalities do I have to have in place when ordering from a China seller

I'm not sure that I trust Chen Daves. He e-mailed me this morning saying that he doesn't accept Credit Cards/Paypal being that he lives in China. He only accepts Bank Wire transfers for bulk orders and Western Union for small orders.

He only offers his shoes in sizes 8-12, but his products are a pretty good buy if, and only if, he's legit. PM me and keep me posted on any conversations you have w/ Chen Daves.

I don't think Mr. Chen can be trusted because I called up Nike and asked about Mr. Chen's company and they said that they are not authorized to sell nike products. This means he doesn't sell authentic nikes. His minimum order is 300 pairs but he accepts 120 pairs for sample. He sent me pictures of their stocks and a copy of the certificate but like I said, i called up nike and they said they are not authorized. He might be legit but their products are not...... I hope this helps. Also ask jimmy because he might have update on Mr. Chen.

I have been talking with Chen for two weeks about his business. I know that there is no Paypal in China so the alternatives are Bank wire,Western Union. He has told that I can place a small order to test drive his business. He has also assured me that his products are authentic Nike shoes, not counterfiets. I told him that I would order after the Chinese New year ends. My order will be for 6 pair's of shoes, we have come to this agreement.

Just be very careful. Let us know how it goes. I was about to transfer $7800 directly to his bank but i got scared when i called up nike. They said that they are not authorized by them selling their product. I even fax them what Mr. Chen email me which is the Certificate but again nike told me that they are not authorized. But let us know how it goes and the quality of the shoes.... :D

Thanks a lot for your insight, Whitewater120 and GRBoutique. Mr. Chen also informed me that he would allow me to place a small order via western union. I sent him a note suggesting that he signs up w/ Link hidden: Login to view so that we could establish some form of trust. He has yet to reply. What does he have to lose by signing up w/ Link hidden: Login to view if his products are legit?

Whitewater120, please let me know if Mr. Chen can be trusted once Chinese New year is over. I know that the factories I deal w/ are off 2/18 - 3/2. When do you plan to place your order?

I have recently been told by another salehoo assiciate that they believe his papers are authentic and that to verify you should contact nike global not nike USA because they are seperate divisions that do not work together. Nike USA cannot verify Nike Global suppliers.

We already have that paper on file.
The site admin has just told me that salehoo has also purchased from chen davis and the minimum was 12 pairs when they made the purchase. As of this date we have had no complaints yet on this supplier. And to consider chen davis legit. We are in contact with chen davis to provide more information.

Our last email from him he stated this.

1. Our Nike licence are in Auditing now (per year). And after updated, we will get back with new informations to you. 2. We deal with sea shipping order mainly( likes some thousands pairs per container). Even that's earlier than we are in Co-op:

And we will make that information avaliable to anyone that would like to view it as soon as we receive it.

This is the best info I can give you at the moment. But of course the
final decision is yours.

Thanks jimmy for the info. Let say that he is legit, but what about his product? Are they authentic? I mean everybody is asking this because we want authentic nikes not just copies. Can you give us more detail on the quality of the shoes? Thanks so much!

I have ordered from Chen, And his shoes are not Authentic. Shoes keep getting caught up in Customs 50%, and I am now in the hole $1000. He is avoiding me and will not contact me.

At first he seemed trust worthy, now he has problems, and shoes have never been authentic. I am not happy, neither are my customers who have made returns and I have issued refunds.

I don't think he ever intends to resolve this issue, but i wouldn't trust him

I have recently had bad relations with Chen and do not advise anyone to deal with him at this time.

Business started off 'O.K.' He claimed to have authentic shoes but they were not. Shoes frequently got caught up in customs.

I am in hole $1000 for 2 months now he has not sent products. Now he is avoiding me. Everyone hit me back if you want to know more.

i want to make sure Chen doesn't rip anybody else off. I can even show you emails he sent me.

Hi jimmy at Salehoo,

I am sorry but I have been ripped off by Chen. I would like for you to contact him after me and you and the salehoo team speak some more.

I don't want to spend hours 'ripping' Chen on the internet, but I will If absolutely nothing is done about the $1000 I have lost with him in the past month.

he has no way of secure payment and at anytime, can rip you off.
please contact me so we can talk more.

thanks

That's what i thought about him too. He may be legit but his products are not because i called up nike and they told me that they are not authorized to sell nike products. I hope you get your money back though. salehoo should do something about it because it is advertised on their website. It is also one of the reason i joined salehoo so i can find authentic nikes but as you can see, they're all replicas......

What do you guys expect the products from China?!
Most of Nike shoes they are selling are all replicas.....Don't expect any authentic Nike shoes from China.....

If you want any Authentic Nike shoes, go to Vietnam or Indonesia...
There you can find many Nike shoes factories and one of my dad's friend also runs some of them....But they can not just sell...

I would buy their products as fake in low price....That's it...
And I just hate those of sellers who sell fake ones in which the pricings are not that far compared to the retail price.
Just don't sweat....Buy from them as they are fake in low price....

Try DHGate but remember to research your sellers first.

If everybody is buying all these fake shoes, do you pay importing taxes on them or do they send it to you as a gift? Also, how do you do your taxes if the shoes are fake without getting in troble? If you buy shoes thinking they are authentic but turn out to be fake, can you get in trouble for advertising just as private sales, say on craigslist?

Thanks

It depends whether the supplier is willing to send them as a gift.

Regarding taxes, you can't get into trouble because all tax information is confidential. E.g. Drug dealers still have to pay tax, even though their earnings are illegal. But because the records are private, they can't be used as evidence for prosecution.

It is illegal to sell replicas Nikes in the US, although that doesn't necessarily stop people from doing it. It's also important to distinguish between no-brand goods that look like the real thing, and replicas that are deliberately deceptive (e.g. have a brandname or logo). It is the deliberately deceptive items with a brandname or logo that are illegal.

The main risk is Custom's seizing your goods when they are imported, however, you can also be reported by other eBayers if someone notices you are selling fakes. I'm not so sure if Craigs List has the infrastructure in place to deal with removing listings for fakes, but we recommend staying well away from replicas. Companies are gradually cracking down more too, so pressure is increasing to penalize anyone who tries.
