Hey there, i've just signed up for Salehoo today, and i have been looking over the site. I'm looking to find a good dropshipper to deal with and I would appreciate any help or advice. I'm not looking for a specific product, but I am looking for something that is selling well(is't everyone). I would really like any feedback from people who found it hard at the start as well and ifthey could give me any tips that would be great.

Many Thanks,
Peter.

HI and Welcome!

I Suggest you to look for something you would like to sell or think what category would like to sell, clothes? Handbags? Electronics? Perfumes?
Think of something..... And let us know what category; it will be easier for everybody to help you find a supplier...

Read as much as you can the entire forum....! You will find many helpful topics and users’ experiences.

Good Luck !

'Looking for something that is selling well'

As you have correctly identified peter, everyone else is doing the same and that is what makes it so hard finding drop shipping resources for popular products, the market is always completely saturated.

If drop shipping is going to be your platform, I can only suggest you go in the opposite direction, look for markets that aren't popular on the surface because they are not being supplied.

Niche is the term used, and when people discover products that fit these types of markets they see that they can generate solid sales without selling all of the 'popular' items.

Now your next question will most likely be, how do I find that that type of product?

Anyone who has done the research to find their own niche market will never give that information away, they will guard it with their life in most cases.

Bottom line, you are walking into a brick wall and there is no way through it, so you'll have to go around it. The way you do that is through research, research and then more research.

I've never heard anyone say that it was an easy thing to do, but some manage it.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction??

Whats your advice when trying to buy from direct companies such as apple, blackberry, sony, etc. Im trying to start selling online with 10grand worth of wholesale products. how can I get the best deal and not waist my time with pothetic dropshippers and middle-men??

Thanks Id appreciate any input from some with experience.

No secret, you just need to contact the head office, talk to distribution and start your inquires there.

Just be aware that some companies with not authorize you if you do not have an offline presence, and some have different requirements to others. Of course there will also be issues with MOQ and such, but with that type of stock budget in hand, you should be able to come to an agreement with someone, providing you can meet their authorisation criteria.

Yep, I had never seen those requirements, but they don't surprise me. Especially the line of credit, that will be a big one with any major corporation.

You can use this program to find other hot items.

One of the salehoo members has provided this little beauty.
Everybody and his wife thinks they can make a killing by selling the popular electronic gadgets, but the profit margin on those items is very small and you need to sell them in great volume to generate any sort of decent income. There are about a gazillion other items you can sell on which the profit margin will be greater.
