I want to share my experience here that the people know this scammer as seller by Alibaba. The company name of this scammer is "Shenzhen Global Technology". I purchased some mini cameras from this seller, whose products is listed on Alibaba's wholesale directory. The fraudulent seller "Shenzhen Global Technology" sent me very crappy item. After I opened dispute, he wanted me to return the crappy products for full refund, I agreed that, so I returned the goods to the seller. After a while I received an email from Alibaba that I need to negotiate with the seller, because they claimed that the returned package were empty, and the seller refused to receive the returned package. So I tried to contact the seller to ask some clarification what happened, but no respond. So Alibaba released all my payment to this fraudulent seller. I don't think that Alibaba requested some strong evidence from the seller. Perhaps the seller provided some falsified pictures to Alibaba. I didn't get any evidence about the claim neither from Alibaba nor from the seller. The seller is a gold member with supplier assessment, onsite check, and so on. Don't trust all this medals. They can be bought very easily. I lost my money on this purchase and the money which i paid for return. Take care, if you purchase by Alibaba's sellers. Don't trust sellers who say you get refund after they have received items back. They can claim that you have not returned, and Alibaba will give them right.

Hi Kianoush,

I'm sorry to hear about the experience. Can I ask how you paid for the order, did you use Credit Card or PayPal?

OK, that's great. You've done the right thing by contacting the bank, now you can file a charge back on the transaction and get the money back. It's a really important lesson for others in the same situation and is why we always recommend using a safe payment method that gives options to protect yourself against these types of scams.

Cheers

Today I got an email from Alibaba that they have frozen the order accourding to the claim the chargeback to my cardholder bank. It is the order which they have released all my payment to the fraudulent seller "Shenzhen Global Technology".

It is unbelievable that the seller could make such scam with the help of the local post office.

Yes it is, but it highlights how you can't rely on these B2B sites to protect you during a dispute. At least you've got the refund process underway now :)

Yes, absolutly you cannot rely on these B2B sites, and Alibaba stands on the top of this list. But I had a good experience with ebay's dispute policy. One time I got very crappy items from a Chinese seller. After I had opened a disput on that, I got a message from eBay that sellers are responsibility to provide pre-paid label shippment, when they send faulty products. If they don't provide pre-paid return shippment label, customers will get full refund, and they don't need to return. I was surprised about that. Of course the seller didn't provide any pre-paid label shippment, so I got full refund. I don't know where ebay originally comes frome. I think that ebay hasn't any connection to China.

eBay is very slanted toward the buyer, away from the seller. Of course it makes it a great platform to buy on because of the strong protections it affords buyers. Unfortunately, that same protection for buyers is what can make it very difficult for sellers to get any satisfaction when involved in a dispute.

Now, the returned goods have been sent back to Norway by the Chinese Post. The Chinese post labeled the package as uncliamed and noticed that addressee didn't raised any objections about the package, Just the seller hasn't claimed the returned goods. It is unbelievable that "Shenzhen Global Technology" has been able to swindle that, and they could made faked pictures, and it is much more unbelievable that Alibaba supported that. I will give update about this scammer: Shenzhen Global Technology

Quite bizarre!

I would be passing this on to Alibaba for further action, they may of course ignore it, but this sort of evidence is hard to ignore. How did you go with the charge back, get that all sorted?

I sent the new evidences to Alibaba's dispute team, but they said I should contact my bank. Alibaba has frozen this order, but I haven't got any redund yet. You cannot trust such B2B sites, because they stand on the site of sellers who pay expensive Gold supplier membership fee.

Actually I rather use a platform with enough protection for buyers, and I would pay membership fee for that. For sample I publishe what I want to purchase, and sellers can provide theirs quotation.

Yes, it really doesn't matter where you purchase from, it's always best to use a safe payment method such as credit card so you are in control of the transaction and have recourse to get a refund if required.

You never want to rely on the supplier or any B2B site to do the right thing by you.
