I see SMC commercials on t.v. with that dude from Happy Days, good show :). And I'm wondering, what's the catch? It seemd like its everything most of us are looking at doing on our own. Just wondering if anyone has tried them.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason. I used to work for SMC & let me tell you...stay far, far away. Their products are junk & there are so many people involved with them that the market is totally saturated.

i am not saying these negative things becuase I worked for them but I have seen the products first hand & know they are all over eBay, Amazon & everywhere.

Hi Jason, I will second that opinion but I want go as far to say all of their products are junk. They have been around for a long time so if you decide to sell their products your going to be up against lots of competition. I would not even think of selling on eBay. To make a decent profit your going to have to sell through your own site or be creative and find other methods to get your products in front of people. You will find all kinds of mixed reviews on SMC . Some love it and others hate it.

Jason,

I was involved with SMC and I agree that it is not worth the time. When you sign up, they talk you into a very expensive web site and search engine listings that don't work. Once you're signed up, you get bombarded with calls from internet marketing companies promising you tons of traffic to your site. All costing an outrageous amount of money and none of them work.

If you check eBay, there are a lot of SMC members selling their products there, although I could never figure out how they are making any money. A lot of the items are listed for below the members price and with free shipping. To drop ship from SMC warehouse was costing between $7.50 and $10.00 per item at the time I was doing it (about a year ago). I was losing a ton of money!

I also tried SMC products at my local town fair. They sold pretty well, but at nowhere near the profit SMC claims you can make. I found that no one would buy at SMC's suggested retail pricing, so I had to lower it significantly just to try to get rid of the stock I had purchased for the fair.

In the end, I bailed out with a debt of almost $10,000 - yes that's thousand! I am now trying to find something I can make money doing rather than just spending money on.

smc has inferior products. sorry to say. the marketing is great and I like the concept. however the products are not worth what they advertise. I do better going to my local tjmax and loehmanns.
