This post is kind of a heads up, plus I am hoping the good people over at Salehoo can find out more information for us.

From what I understand StrawberryNet is updating their product feeds for affiliates. They have updated their website with in the last year and quite a bit changed as far as how they organize and sort their products. Now I am very glad they are doing this, the currently feed is a mess and has some serious issues. But it also is a pain because I had to put a lot of work into trying to get their current feed to work and I have been pushing for months for information. I have been working on this site for a very long time, waiting for info from them so I can finish, and now I put it on hold because a lot of changes might be coming that I am going to have to go back and redo.

Isabelle over at StrawberryNet has been very patient with me and I am thankful, and she does her best to help us. And I know she has to wait for information from the developers. But this information is critical for someone running a website and these kinds of changes will cause people a lot of work. They need to inform their affiliates if this kind of thing is happening. And some heads up would be good so people can plan for these changes.

If you are building a website now, be aware some of the category info in the feeds could be changing a lot soon (my guess to match more what the new site is showing now). If you have an existing you need to be ready if it does change and might cause you some work.

If anyone has more information on how the updates over at strawberrynet is going for affiliates I would love to hear it, and if Salehoo could reach out and get information for us, I would be very thankful.

Thank you,

Again Isabelle has been very helpful, and I know Strawberry has been through a lot of changes (new website which means new database).

But this is important information for drop shippers that are setting up a website.

I am very frustrated with them. If they are reworking this data, which will mean I have to redo alot of work, they should have a plan in place. Telling us should not be that hard, giving us an overview of what they are doing is not that much to ask if they really want to do dropshipping. Letting current people out there that might already have websites know what is going on in advance allowing them to plan for it is not much to ask for...

Sorry NP, we're getting quite frustrated by the lack of clarity being provided to us by them currently ourselves. Admins is taking a look at the situation currently, I expect there will be some news I can pass on to you within the next few days

Sorry for the angry rant, I really have been trying to be helpful to them as well. If they get on things early it will prevent them frustration from getting calls from angry dropshippers. And I know you guys are trying as well, and I thank you.

Can you just confirm that Strawberry net have been in touch with you personally to clarify the situation for you. They've informed us that they were going to do that.

Cheers

They have passed my questions and comments to the website/IT group. With in the last 6 months or so they had updated their normal customer website. The old site was not organized well at all, the new one is much better, but I think that is the data they are reworking for the feeds. This was a huge undertaking, I am wondering if they are making sure the data is set, consistent and updated for all the languages they offer. I do understand that this is not an easy task, and takes quite a bit of work. I just wish they were a bit more forthcoming to their dropshippers so we can plan for the updates if and when they come.

Bottom line, I understand it takes time, wish it was a bit faster and at least they were a bit more forthcoming about what is going on.

As you say NP, at least they are a little more forthcoming now. Mind you, it's taken some serious effort to get them to this point lol

I agree, I do try to give people the benifit of the doubt, but it is a little hard to get info, even if we are asking for more technical type information.

The technical info is what it boils down to, their customer service isn't equipped to respond to the question to start with and their tech department isn't that interested in passing on information to them, so it just ends up in a lot of frustration for everyone involved unfortunately.

Very true, they could really want to support their dropshippers but internal communication might be a challenge. I also understand right this moment is a crazy time, and building up to the holidays is probably also crazy. but still frustrating considering the overall time frame. It is the products I am looking for. but this is the 2nd vendor, the 1st one was removed from your list. they were not responding to anyone about anything.
