Just joined a few hours ago and would like to start selling online (eBay). For a neophyte like me, what products should I be selling first and at the same time, so that I can build up positive feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Hey,

It really depends on what you want to sell, and what you think will make the most money.

I would reccommend starting out with something small like accessories.
Whilst the profit margins are originally small, so is the financial investment. If worst comes to worst, you might only lose a couple of hundred bucks.

Probably one of the most important lessons to learn, is not to be greedy. Even if your profit margins are small, it is still profit.

As you get more experience in the game, you will begin to spot trends.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tom

Not sure that I can help too much on products to sell depending of what sort of product you're thinking of. Try Link hidden: Login to view, this site sells mobile phones and cameras for reasonably good prices. I have used this supplier over the last 6 months and have had no trouble with them at all.

As for feedback, there are a lot of info products on eBay that only cost .01c or 99c some a little higher, a lot of people just buy a heap of those to build up feedback. There is also an eBook called the secret of the 1 cent eBook, I listed this eBook for sale and my feedback increased dramatically from people buying it just to increase their feedback also increased mine. Yell out if you want a copy, my email is Link hidden: Login to view

For starters I would go with something you have an interest in preferably. I've found its alot easier to excel in sales with products if you yourself have an interest in.

Also go with something thats within your budget. Check auctions your going to be selling on such as ebay. Put the items on your watch list and see what they're selling for. Now see if you can get them at a cheaper price.

When buying I wouldn't use anything other than Paypal, credit card or maybe escrow. Money orders and wire transfers offer no buyer protection so only use them on suppliers you trust.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
