Jimmy,
How do you set up your ebay account to accept credit cards?
But more important is the question about the setup...How?
Thanks In advance
John (aka bacpro)
You can remove paypal as a payment option altogether. In your settings remove the ebay checkout. When you sign up with firstdata they will link you to another company they run called securnetshop. They have a shopping cart.
The traditional shopping cart is free. But you can choose to pay extra for the advanced shopping cart with all the options. I prefer this because I can also put my own banners in the shopping cart and guide buyers to my Real Website If I choose. This is another way to bring your ebay buyers to your own website.
If you do high volume then the advanced shopping cart is the way to go.
Now in your listings you can choose to use their link or create your own payment buttons and just add the link on your own payment buttons.
One of my layouts took a lot of time to master. I went from having about 30 questions a day on how to make a credit card payment to about 1 a week. So it's best you have this link in your auction several times. You can even link the payment gateway to any text you may have in your listing.
I have 1 payment button all 3 of my credit card logos can go to that link as well and I have text that will follow that link.
Also make sure you have your address listed there so they can send you checks. I take in close to 50 checks a week. This will curb the appetite of those that do not want to use a credit card but still want to purchase your items. I do like this very much because there is no processing fee for a check. Don't worry about harsh regulations on holding checks. I have taken in over 1000 check over the years and have never had a bad one.
