LTD commoditys the people with the big catalog is listed
in ripoff reports. You will find alot of sound companies in ripoff reports on the web. 5 complaints is all it takes to get listed on some. With very minor complaints for some companies.
Excellent point!
I know these sites play a valuable roll for research, but it should never be taken out of context, as it so often is.
I know of a business that was listed on ROR, and I also know that the person listed them through mistaken id. In fact they were upset about a family member being unfairly treated in their opinion, and took it upon themselves to make the report without having all of the facts.
End result, they stuck it up this company for something that this company didn't do. What was done about it.......absolutely nothing. The person never retracted their comment and the company never responded, so that report will be seen by many and the company judged on nothing that had anything to do with it.
I'm not saying most of the complaints aren't legit, but a bad report or two should just encourage you to dig further, not turn your heals and run.
Anyone who has been in business will know just how hard it is to try and please everyone all of the time, unless you are a saint It's impossible. Someone is always going to feel that they got screwed, no matter what the deal was, or what you do to try and make them happy.
These types of reports should be considered along with other data, such has how long the business has been active, and how many transactions has it completed.
Fact is bad news travels many times greater than the speed of good news, and while not many people will go out of their way to tell someone about good service, however they will line up to to tell everyone about a bad experience because revenge is a strong driving emotion!
Use these types of reports as an important guide, not a deal breaker. If you struggle to find other research to paint a full picture with who you want to deal with, then the best advice is to always er on the side of caution, of course!
