Resale Certificate if located in EU for fragrancenet.com

Hi,

I'm new here, and would like to use fragrancenet.com as my dropshipper.

I'm located in EU, not in US, but the main market will be US and Canada, therefor I asked if and why I need a NYS resale certificate.

I got a reply from them, and I'm not sure I understand what they need.

Here is a transcript of their email:

The wholesale application is located at the bottom of the page under the help section, or you may simply click on the help link on your upper right hand corner, or copy and paste the below url into your browser:

Please note, all US applicants must complete the NYS resale certificate even if you are NOT located in New York State. Note, part 2 is to be completed by Non- New Yorkers.
Once your wholesale application and your NYS resale certificate have been completed and submitted, you must email us a scanned copy of any of the following documents:
Retail Business License/Certificate (CANADA)
Seller's permit
Tax ID
VAT certificate (UK)
wholesale license
ABN certificate (AUSTRALIA)
Registration certificate
Sales and use Tax Permit
Certificate of Authority

So what do I do?

Hi Ivan,

Welcome to the forum!

You may want to contact them again and inform them that you are not based in the US. They may provide you with a different form to fill-out. Mention your specific location, and where you intend to sell their products.

If a resale certificate is indeed needed, you can provide them of the equivalent in your country. A Resale certificate also refers to retail/reseller's license, sales tax ID, GST, ABN, or VAT and they all mean one thing - a certificate issued by your local government that says you're required to collect sales tax from your buyers.
