Hi,

I new to Salehoo and so far I really like the platform. It has help answer a lot of my questions on different products. The only thing I seem to be having trouble with is finding a good cheaper way or getting started. I'm not looking to make a huge profit right now just a few dollars here and there so I can learn how to do this right. I haven't been able to figure out how to go about getting an item to list from a company to dropship. Am I supposed to contact the companies directly and inquire about dropshipping or do I simply find and item from their page that i want to list, make the listing and just buy it from them when I make a sale? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I feel slightly lost on how to go about this. Thanks for any advice in advance.

I love to buy and sell old and rare items. Recently I have been interested in selling more from home and was lucky enough to find Salehoo. I looking to not only invest in wholesale but also do a good amount of drop shipping.

Hello Jason,

The answer is YES. Many people would think that the main factor in starting off dropshipping or any ecommerce venture is the supplier research. Well, that is just the beginning. The next step is to go about and contact the supplier to negotiate or bid for your items. Yes, they may post the price on their webpage but once in a while, you can always haggle the rates.

:)

hey jason, i am no expert and no idea where you live, but what I did was to find a online store that had reasonable prices, try for a discount and go from there, i found that pet products sold ok.

also, if you have a discount shop close by, just go in there, sneak a few pics and list the items they have, you can also compare prices on google, remember to figure out the weight etc for shipping.
