I am new to the site and to eBay selling in general. I think I would be interesting in selling fly rod building materials, but I am having trouble finding a supplier so I can take the next step and figure out if monetarily this is worth my effort. Drop shipping is a must as I currently have very little capital to invest. I am looking for:

-rod blanks (Sage, Temple Fork Outfitter, Orvis, G. Loomis, Gatti)
- beginners all inclusive rod building kit (blank, reel seat, cork handle, eyes, thread, and cement)
- reel seats (struble, pacific bay, generic)
- cork handle (struble, pacific bay, other)
- two part expoy (flex coat, prokote, etc)
- possibly fly reels
- possibly fly line (Cortland)
- possibly rod building thread

Thank you,
Caleb

Irene,
Thank you for the quick reply, but this is not quite what I was looking for. These suppliers do have some of the accessories for a completed rod, but I am looking for a wholesaler who sells the individual (brand name) parts and pieces of a rod and the customer then builds the rod themselves. For example, the “Blank” is nothing more than the stripped down stick section of the rod with nothing else on it.

I think that most people who fly fish are probably kind of elitist (or like to think of themselves this way at least) and will probably only be interested in brand names. People do have these type of stores on ebay, but this may not be a good niche to pursue because of the brand name requirement/following this hobby has.

To give you an idea, here is an online store ( www.mudhole.com ) I found and used when I was building my own rod.

For the kit.
