Hello Guys,

I have recently setup a limited company so I can trade on eBay. However I have a few questions:

- How do I manage my stock like to ensure it is automated? I don't know where to start regarding CSV files
- Are there any suppliers that ship QUICKLY to the EU/UK? I see a lot of suppliers, but my worry is the time it would take to get to customers
- Do you have any advice for new starters to dropshipping?

I am so lost right now I feel like I can't do it :-S

Thank you

Hi,
Congratulations on setting up a company. I don't think there is anything like automated but when you're dropshipping, you get the product list mostly as a CSV file and whenever there is an update in stock, the supplier will let you know.
I am from Manchester Furniture Supplies, we dropship most of our products same/next day in UK mainland, but not limited to.
I've worked with so many drop shipping businesses and what I would like to suggest is getting a professional, eye candy website that is not too flashy, neither too dull. Make sure it's easy to use, if you can afford, get some search engine optimization or paid advertistment services. Setup social networks and do promotions there as well.

Thanks
Kamran

Hi Christina and welcome to the forum,

I think Kamran has given you some good advice there. The only thing I would add is if you're new to the business, maybe don't jump into developing your own website straight away, use platforms like eBay offer. Now ultimately, I think developing your own website is the only way to go if you plan on being in this business for a long time, but it's not an easy thing to do and marketing it effectively certainly isn't inexpensive, so it's a lot to take on for a new seller just getting started.

Regarding CSV files, your supplier will or should be able to provide you with CSV files for upload. So just make sure that you confirm the suppliers that you want to deal with provide the CSV file for you.

There is a stack of information on dropshipping spread throughout the forum, so it's most definitely well worth spending some reading through to bring yourself up to speed. You're going into a bit of a lions den, so the best advice I can give you is to be well educated on the subject.

Cheers
