Hi

Just joined salehoo and it`s big for sure but many great advices:)

On topic, I live in Europe and i wanna try out ebay usa selling there by using dropshipping.

Maybe stupid question but can i use us suppliers for the us marked even though i don`t live in the usa?

I don`t have any cred from any us gov since i don`t live there.

Have come up with a product i wanna try out, and i did follow the tip u said about hobbies:) I got a dog and 5am this morning in the bathroom i come up with it hehe after several days of brain storming.

About the product i have searched ebay and research lab + auction inspector.

Now i am looking for a supplier and i have found a few.

Hi and welcome to SaleHoo, Steinar :)

Great to hear that you have finally come up with a product you want to sell!

Yes, you can. Many sellers who dropship products in the US are not based there. Provided you meet the requirements on eBay to be able to sell on eBay.com and you find suitable suppliers then you should be able to carry out your plan.

The usual document which may be required by some suppliers will be a sales tax ID, all you need would be to present the equivalent from your country - in your case a VAT ID would suffice.

All the best!

Hi

Thx for the replies:)

Have already read through most of u guides:)

In norway u can sell for 50 000 Norwegian Kroner before u have to register for vat. Since i am just in the beginning i haven`t sold for one dollar yet.

So to get a vat nr can take some time or not on the other hand if i am lucky to sell alot. I think this will take some time and not getting a vat nr...how to work with us companies to start with then?

Hi Steinar,

We have a number of suppliers that do not require a resellers permit or sales tax ID. When doing your search you can filter your search to locate only suppliers that do NOT require a Tax ID.

To do this, click on the drop down menu under and at the bottom under you'll find Tax ID not required, tick that and then do your dropshipper search.

Hope this helps :)

Your VAT is paid to your own tax department, just be aware that depending on the country you are Drop Shipping into you may encounter some instances where certain taxes are in place that will effect the buyer.

When drop shipping, learn the applicable taxes of the countries you are selling into and make the customer aware of such charges. It can get really messy when someone buys something, then gets hit with some import duty that wasn't described in you listing.
