Just browsed the dhgate website this morning and found they had a branded mobile phone section. I went into it and it turned out the items they listed were deemed "original."

They claim they only sell original items, no fakes or copies. Is this really possible? I Guess it is since they accept escrow till you get your item i guess any thoughts?

Thanks for your guys comments.

Hello William,

There's something with China and their products that give us second thoughts about it. Which is why we would rather use them for generic products. Authentic brands and Chinese items just do not mix.

We cannot always vouch for suppliers that are not in our directory. So I would highly suggest getting more feedback from our members here, at the same time provide your own research regarding the company.

Hope this helps.

Major international brands, only sell via their approved local distributors in different regions and hence most suppliers you would find in China would not be genuine. This is a large fraud industry around "branded products" in China, as it is not possible to get Non-Chinese large brand without official channels.

In short importing branded products from China is simply not feasible. Hope our answer helps.

it is too risky to buy products from China even if they mentioned that the item is "original". To eliminate the risk, I suggest you look for other decent online store with good feedback. I totally agree with what Rachelle wrote. "Authentic brands and Chinese items just do not mix"
