Hi all,

I'm from the U.S. but I live in Taiwan and I want to base my business here, selling to the local market. It is difficult to find information about the best ways to ship from the U.S. or elsewhere into markets such as mine here - questions of shipping, customs, taxes and business licenses etc..

If you're starting a business like me let's share ideas.

All the best,
Ryan

As an American in Taiwan I would think you could cash in pretty nicely as a sort of export consult from there to the US et al. Taiwan trade directories are a thriving business, and the good ones aren't cheap. Acting as an "introducing agent" or other form of liason for mid-size companies that deal in Taiwan, but not in enough volume to warrant a full-time office/rep there, could be lucrative.
