In the last year, i have lost thousands of dollars to fraud trying to find genuine suppliers. I have taken out loans and maxed out credit cards, and i am working overtime only to barely make ends meet. I am in serious need of help. Does anyone know how i can obtain a grant with minimum fuss, even with bad credit? all of the grant offers i come across have some kind of catch(ie. membership fees,etc.,)...I just need a pure and simple grant. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Its not easy finding a grant. I have been searching for years myself. I bet that geek with the question marks all over himself has a decent book to help you. I cant remember his name

yes, i know to whom you are refering....you say you have been searching for years, have you tried any of those 'grant writers pro' cds or any of those other offers you see online? if so, what is your assessment?

no i mostly got lost looking for grants that fit my situation and basically gave up on trying. Too much red tape to cut to get the money and 60 percent of the time you wont.

Hi, if you really want to save yourself some money, forget mathew Lesko (guy with the ??? marks all over his suit) and forget about all of the grant sites you see plastered all over the web,,they will just send you a list that is worthless, mostly just generalalities and names of organizations that issue grants...sorta like most of the wholesale lists you see on the web..

If you are serious,,visit you local branch of the Small Business Administration,,they can help point you in the right direction....and it won't cost you a penny...

ok, thanks...and it doesnt even necessarily have to be a 'business' grant, per se, i mean i will take whatever grant, personal, business, whatever...i wouldnt mind even a loan, but i dont think i can get a loan with my credit...maybe i'll just audition on 'millionaire', i kicked butt on 'movie trivia' week.. :)

As I said, visit the SBA and talk to them. Explain your situation and they will be able to tell you what you need to know..Expecially ask them about a Small Business Loan..

Also check with your local chamber of commerce. they normally keep a list of organizations that help promote small and local businesses..There is help out there, and alot of new and small business resources that are free..You just need to get away from the ones on the web (especially) the ones that are advertising that they are going to help you get free money). 'Real organizations', that do issue grants, don't have to advertise, they have no problem giving their money away...
