I thought I would take a minute to introduce myself and how I became a moderator on this forum.

First of all, my name is Shawn and I have been wholesaling consumer electronics full time for quite a while now. I have spent literally thousands of hours doing research on potential suppliers and the framework on how this business operates.

I was invited over here to take a look at the forum by Salehoo's site admin on a complimenary membership due to their confidence in my knowledge of the subject. After going over a few threads here it became pretty obvious that a lot of people here were pretty new to the field and in need of guidance. Also, I could see that the forum was a bit messy and made a some suggestions on how to improve it (which are yet to come). I talked to the admin a bit and was offered a mod position.

I had to think about this a bit since many people out there have negative feelings towards Salehoo (and list compilations in general) and I had to consider the possible negative repercusions of being directly associated with them.

In the end I obviously decided to be a moderator here. I figured the good that I could do in helping people out here would outweigh the potential negative effects of being associated with Salehoo. Furthermore, I am going to speak to Salehoo's admin in the near future to discuss some big changes for the forum and the company itself in order to boost it's reputation with the wholesale community (adding new suppliers, removing a few current ones, editing their ratings, etc).
