How to deal with suppliers (especially Asian suppliers)

I am new to SaleHoo and the whole online sales and dealing with dropshipping, wholesale and manufacturers.
My question does SaleHoo have a cheat sheet with a list questions or what to look for or ask when we contact these companies (DS, WS, Manufacturers) you have listed?

Such as
Do they drop ship?
Do they charge to drop ship?
Is there a handling fee?
Is there MPV?
Do they offer blind shipping?
Does the invoice to the customer have the both (sellers) invoice on it?
Is there a minimum purchase requirement?

If I wanted to purchase from Asia/other countries to the United States, how do I go about doing this and are there is rules I need to follow before buying and having the stuff sent to the USA? Do I need to contact customers? If so is there a a letter or some kind of format for contacting USA customs department to have items shipped from other countries? What do I need to let them know.

Hi Pam and welcome to the forum,

No specific list of questions that fits all, but of course there are some general questions that most will need to ask and you seem to have those pretty well covered.

You will be able to see on the suppliers profile if they dropship, wholesale or so on. So once you go through they're profile, you'll already have these answers and be in a position to single our suppliers that best suit your requirements. From there, I would suggest visiting their website and looking at the stock profile. make sure they had what I really wanted. If all that checked out, then I would contact them in person and discuss my requirements, make sure they were going to be a good fit for what I was looking for.

In regards to importing stock form international suppliers, just make sure of what's legal to import and what taxes are involved. If in doubt, Customs is the best please for this information.
