How to outsource PayPal payments

How do I outsource vendor order processing and PayPal payments to my virtual assistant? PayPal absolutely sucks. Every time they use it, they get an error. I hate PayPal with a fury! This is the error that they get:

I keep calling PayPal and they say it is a security issue and they say they resolve it, but every single freaking time it re-occurs. Some of my vendors only accept PayPal, so I can't just avoid it.

I would like to give out my credit card number to use for all the vendor who do not use PayPal, but I don't believe that is wise. At least PayPal is limited to the funds in the account. I trust my assistant.

Hello Starrychloe,

I handle some of our payments, which means I access our PayPal accounts remotely using the same login as our site owners but I have never received or encountered this error. I have been handling some of our payments for over a year now and payments are processed as required/expected.

Does your assistant have the same access (login) to your PayPal account? I actually don't now our password for security reasons but we use LastPass for our logins so everything is pretty much automated (when it comes to logging in).

At this point your only chance at getting this resolved is PayPal, unfortunately.

All the best!

Yes my assistant has the same access and login to PayPal. What is an alternative to PayPal that can enable spending limits with credit cards?

Can you tell me more about LastPass? Can the password be shared among multiple people?

This is the lastpass security option Richelle mentioned that SaleHoo support staff use for secure logins.

For other merchant account options, I would suggest speaking with the merchant department of your bank, they will have an option available to process credit card payments.

I'm not asking to process credit cards. I already have a merchant account. I'm asking how to enable my assistant to pay my vendors without PayPal suckiness. I would just give a credit card to them, but they don't have spending limits. Is there a service which allows setting spending limits on credit cards?

Go down to Rite Aid/CVS/Walgreens and buy a prepaid Visa/MC debit card, load it with cash at the store, instant built-in spend limit, and you can go add cash to it any time of day or day of the week that the store is open.
