1 I don't have a sales tax ID and I don't plan on getting one for a while, because I'll be moving in the next 1-2 months to Wisconsin. So I'm looking for some good suppliers of product that don't require one.
You can easily filter your searches to show only suppliers that do not require a sales tax ID. To do this please click on the 'more options' link right under the Search button.
2 I don't have a reputation on ebay so I don't think I'm getting many views for the things I do list. So how to I get that reputation up? I read some of the down-loadable ebooks on here and one said to sell something cheap so that there wouldn't be so much hesitation. But the things I have listed on ebay were already cheap(like $10 cheap) so how cheap do I have to be? Should I buy some stuff and take a loss just to get some sales so that I can get my reputation up? Spend money to make money?
You don't have to offer your items at extremely cheap prices but selling anything high end at this stage is definitely not going to help. It might even be a good thing to list things from your home, you the stuff that you no longer use. This is a great way to start off selling on eBay - you get to work on your feedback scores as well as practice your selling skills!
You might also, buy a few small ticket items from other sellers to help you with your feedback and to show them that you're trustworthy :)
3 Most of the stuff that I have found that has decent sell through rates, are being sold for less than what I could sell them for. Am I looking at the wrong products? I read that I should sell stuff that I know about..... I know computers so I'm focusing mainly on selling technology. Is that a mistake?
Not necessarily but for computers and most electronic products the competition is so stiff that as a new seller it would seem impossible to be able to compete with the more seasoned sellers.
You might want to focus instead n the accessories for the time being while you are still new and slow work your way up. Accessories like headsets, sd cards and the other small stuff are great things to sell since they are small, easy to store (if you buy in bulk) and easy to ship as well.
4 I've looked at some wholesale/liquidation sites and drop shippers but as they seem to be the best ways of getting into this specifically because drop shipping would require basically no over head on my part in the way of shipping or storing the products(because I have a limited amount of space to store stuff that I would sell). I am also open to buying wholesale/liquidation lots keeping products here but the few sites I have found that will sell to resellers without having a tax ID are auction sites and the auctions seem impossible to win, or the products are being sold on ebay for less than what I can afford to sell at.

as well, the competition on eBay is pretty tough especially now that many wholesalers/dropshippers sell directly on eBay to the general public.
I think this is where niche hunting plays an important role. Being able to identify a profitable niche is key to surviving online :)
It may seem impossible at the start but just continue to persevere and you'll make it!
