Ok, just come across what I consider to be an interesting liitle opportunity the other day, and I thought I would pose the question here to get some feeling for it.
I made contact with a guy who makes parts for RC boats, turns them up out of alloy. There I was watching him turn up a prop and shaft when I noticed what seemed to be a metal police baton.
On closer inspection it was a scaled down replica of a baseball bat turned out of a solid chunk of billet alloy, and it looked sensational. He had just done it for some fun, but of course I went away to give this thing a little thought, and what I came up with is this.
Making this things up, mounting them in a presentation box with a glass front, and include a metal plate inside with some cool Baseball facts, I'm sure there are enough to choose from to make it interesting.
Question is, although I am a sports fan, I'm not a big baseball fan, so if you are what do you think of the idea for fans to put in their pool room, games room..sports bar, that type of thing?
The product surely has to be unique...I think..lol
Anyway gang, market for this type of thing or not in your humble opinion. Of course I guess I should be directing this to US members with the sport being so big there, but markets such as Japan and other couldn't be ignored.
If we get a thumbs up, I'll arrange for some pics, but trust me...looks fantastic.
Of course the option would be to see what other sports toys could be turned up by this guy!
