Packing slips with "non-dropshippers"

Hi everyone,

Have any of you had any problems or issues when drop shipping from "non drop shippers" due to the packing slip?

For example, you're selling a DVD on eBay that you know is cheaper from future shop online.

You send it as a gift so there is no invoice but there is always a packing slip which will say future shop. Do you think that the customer is going to go through the hassle and Google future shop for that same DVD?

If so, how do we get around that issue?

Hi Lara, when coming up against that problem with a supplier, ask them if they will BLIND SHIP for you. Blind shipping will have the invoice sent to you and the actual order sent to the customer with no invoice at all. It's not something automatically done, but most will do it for you if requested.

Thanks for the response. I think that it is mandatory to put a packing slip in the box though. They told me it's not an invoice but a packing slip just stating the item, the shipping address and the company logo. This is what I'm wondering how we can get past....It doesn't seem like the large wholesaler will customize my order in a large warehouse and not include this mandatory packing slip...

Hi Lara,

With blind shipping, they can still include the packing slip for product id, but they should be able to leave off their branding. It sounds like they just don't want to do that for you, so no much you can do if you are doing business with them.

If you only anticipate making the one sale with the customer, then it's probably no big deal at all. I would however request that the invoice is at least shipped blind, no dollar amount showing at all.
