Hello, I am new to Salehoo. I am having a hard time finding items at prices I can sell on Amazon. Prices there seem to be cheaper than of the suppliers. Any suggestions?
I don't like to sell on Ebay for many reasons. Are there products that sell better than others on Amazon? I have tried electronic accessories, video games, bluetooth, cases, ... None of them can be sold on Amazon at profit.

Hi Kasha,

Have you tried contacting the suppliers directly to inquire further about wholesale pricing. Please take note that prices featured on the website are not necessarily the final wholesale price.

If you haven't I suggest trying out the Link hidden: Login to view to help you find a viable niche.

Here are some product ideas:

* Clothing: accessories, plus sizes, maternity, night wear.
* Kitchen: recipes, knife sets, toasters, microwaves
* Beauty: sunscreen, insect repellent, cosmetic & toiletry bags, men's grooming
* Homewares: towels, sheets, rugs, throws, cushions, vases, mirrors
* Special occasion: wedding supplies, party supplies, mother-of-the bride outfits, bridal shoes, birthday cards
* Garden : lawn mowers, gardening tool sets, composter

Hobbies and Interests

One of the big reasons why people use eBay is to find unique items that they cannot find elsewhere. Before online auctions, collectors were limited by geography. The internet has enabled hundreds of communities to form around shared interests and this provides tons of niches to target. A quick browse of eBay's community groups will give you some ideas. There are groups as diverse as knitting, stay-at-home moms, business, hiking, gluten-free support group, vegans, travel, children's theatre, dieting, parenting, re-enactors, crochet, stamp collecting, pet care - the list goes on.

Remember that many of these hobbyists will also need components. For example, you may decide to sell embroidery threads, tools and patterns and how-to books; car parts; fabrics and trimmings.

I have tried electronic accessories, video games, bluetooth, cases, ... None of them can be sold on Amazon at profit.

Electronics is actually one of the most competitive markets online. The electronics industry has always run on very low margins from wholesalers to end users and marketplaces like eBay have only tightened the margins even further.

Most electronics sell at the wholesale price or below wholesale on eBay. That's how intense the competition is.

Hope this helps :)
