Hello guys! I have been reading a ton of books about wholesales, ebay, e-commerce and such, and I came to a point in the book where it said, 'It is NOT a real Wholesaler if they don't ask for your Tax ID, W2 form, etc, PERIOD, END OF DISCUSSION'.....

Now that makes me wonder why these websites don't require any of this. I do see SOME good websites with pretty good prices, but nothing superb.

I just wanted to know what people have to say about this?

The difference between a so called wholesaler and manufacture is about 30-50%...meaning that that wholesaler buys in quanity sell it for 50% more to you and because they sell to everybody they still make money selling to you or the public at the same markup...So they don't care who they sell to, anybody can buy from them and they call themself wholesalers. I can call myself a wholesaler if I am selling my stuff for a 30% markup, but a retailer sell can there products for 100% -200% markup....

When you see a Store sale like Office depot having a sale and the sales says 80% off. 80% off what?

If its 80% off the MSRP(Manufactures Suggested Retail Price) the MSRP could be as much as 200%. So are really getting a good deal?

A true wholesaler that will not sell to the public and requires a resale Tax ID etc. Will only have a 10-30% markup. And will require mim quanities.

I hope I explained myself...any other input appreciated.

What your looking for is distributors not wholesalers. Most wholesalers are realy just retailers acting as a wholasaler. Hear`s a distributor i use all the time. Link hidden: Login to view they also will dropship to you customer and give you a line of credit.Their are alot more companies like this that i use.Remember you want distridutors not wholesalers.Hope this helps you out.

Hi,

I am a legitimate new business owner. I want to sell Mens NFL/NBA Jerseys online. I have a Business License to operate from my home online. How can I locate Legitimate Distributors of this type of merchandise. I have done business with chinese suppliers from Alibaba but the quality and delivery time is not up to acceptable standards. Do you have any suggestions on how I can better utilize my license to purchase wholesale from distributors? I did not find any resources on Salehoo.

Thanks
