Reference... when it comes to references...

I applied with a potential new supplier who needs 2 exisiting suppliers as a references.

Well, I did and got an answer today:

Your request has been denied for the following reason:
Both suppliers refused to communicate the volume of business you are doing with them.

I love it.... I can imagine:
- allo, XYZ? can you give me the total annual volume of business that veropierre is doing with you?
- no, click...

We should create a club to give references to each other!

I dont think many companies would devulge that information about thier clients. That sounds really odd, But what can ya do lol

lol sounds like personal and confidential information to me. Also a good supplier doesn't want their clients going somewhere else.
