I use the newest firefox on a ubuntu 10.04 LTS edition.

It must be something on your end -- coincidentally, I'm using Firefox on Ubuntu, and when I enter iPad I get the full report.

Hi RensVisser,

Welcome to SaleHoo!

I have to agree with Frank, I'm getting a full report as well.

You have to take note that each member can only do 10 searches per day so you may have exceeded your daily limit. This will usually refresh 24hours after your last search.

Kindly try clearing your cache before running another search, hopefully this will help!

Please let us know how you get on :)

In the above case, I might suggest that the problem is the keyword -- try running it as a phrase rather than an acronym (if it happens to be "Magic: The Gathering," I was able to get that to work just now, although the available data is pretty scant.)

Just for grins I re-ran my iPad search and was able to reproduce the prior results with no problem. I'm running Firefox 11.0 on Ubuntu 10.04

If I recall correctly, our developers mentioned in the past, when the Research Lab returns ' - ' (dashes) as a result the universal search count for the keyword has been reached but it does not mean that there are no results for the keyword being searched. But if it returns with a zero then there is no data or corresponding listing from the previous month (on eBay).

I just ran, all 3 keywords - ipad, magic the gathering and MTG and was able to fetch results for all of them. Here's a screen shot for your reference - Link hidden: Login to view

All the best!

Hi Richelle,

I'm wondering why is there a limit of 10 searches a day? You can't expect to be able to find a suitable product with 10 searches...

Also, when I searched for simple things like, shoes, shirts and other things, I got no results (same searched on eBay came back with many results, auction and "buy it now"). I thought it was me, but then I looked at terms I've used before, and had no problems retrieving results here.

Thanks!
Miki.

Hi Miki,

Welcome to the forums :)

According to our Head of Technology, the SRL's 10 searches per day limit is due to the fact that our data provider has placed a limit on how many we can do per day, so to be fair to the users we have had to pass this limit down to them.

However, in the next couple of months we are going to work with our data provider to change and increase this limit.

If your search results return with dashes "-" it may be that the global search limit has been reached for that keyword. If it returns with a "0" it means the lab found no results.

Kindly try waiting for at least 24 hours before doing another search and let us know how you get on.

Talk to you soon!
