Hi,

I am a touch confused, I live in Hong Kong so a lot of the information avaliable is not totally relevant.

Do I need a company to start selling online?

Should I set one up in HK or off-shore and won't it eat up all of my profit? (hopefully there will be some)!

Thanks!
kassy

no you don't need a company to sell online. Just find out what you want to sell and do a lot of research on that product and than set yourself up with ebay and start selling. But becareful on what you purchase to resell as there are a lot of scammers out there that will take your money and run. You have to make sure when you find that product that it is not a copy.
good luck.

you have to pay tax accordingly to your countrys laws, depending on how much you earn as to what you pay. Liability would only come in to effect if you have certain items that can harm if misused. Othewise you can ask your accountant for further advice.
good luck.
