Wholesaler requiring documents

Hello everybody,

I am currently interested in a wholesaler listed here in salehoo which is requiring a copy of both front and back of my credit card. I am dealing currently with a few companies and have never been required this.

I have been usually required resale certificate, tax id and a voided check.

Is what they asking me the same as a voided check? In the application they say the card is used just for reference, that's why I am surprised they basically need all the info for the credit card.

Can someone please share if it is perfectly fine to do this?

When you say they require the front and back of your card, you mean they want your card number, expiry date, card name and then the security code on the back?

Thanks for replying.They don't specify they want such information but me providing them with a copy of both sides would be giving them all that.

Not irregular for a supplier to want all that information to establish an account, but I do find it a little strange that they ask for it in that way. What's the supplier's name Albert, just drop a link to their profile page in the directory and we'll qualify their criteria for you.

Not unheard of but a little unusual, since you would generally provide that information when you are making a purchase. In these tough economic times the supplier is trying to get the lowest rate from the credit card company by providing that information, but again, where I worked previously we would get that information at the time of the sale, not before the sale.
